This is a brilliant move by the Browns brain trust! Two games each season against the Ravens, two against the Steelers. That is four revenge games a year for Diontae, more if the Browns play against any of the other teams that also dumped him!

    (The preceding was sarcasm)

We still have one here who in his fantasies and conspiracies would bring him and Pickens back

Johnson had 86 receptions for 882 yards and zero touchdowns one season

At the end he had a chance for a TD if he ran hard and muscles but and for whatever he stoped and ran back and was tackled

    Yet it’s someone else’s thought

Oh he did it with regularity all over the field and instead of picking up a first down he'd go backwards and it would be fourth down.

If he ran forward, he might have averaged more than 10 yards a reception.

    He might have scored

I remember people on this board trying to justify him for his great route running and number of catches

    That was bull****

Teams just played him soft because they knew he wouldn’t turn it up field and definitely knew he wouldn’t score

But the world came to an end when he was **** canned

so, I would say this - i thought he did run tight routes. BUT - he also ran in circles, IF he caught the ball. I thought he had talent - he just failed.

People make a big deal about his route running and number of catches

The way I looked at it was since he ran in circles and was not a threat to score defenders basically played him like a prevent defense and let him catch the little stuff

But I’m cranky and don’t like him

    Just a thought

LOL... yes, the cranky part resonated with me. :)

Also, I never understood how being a "good" router runner made up for running backwards after catches, dropping easy throws, not scoring TDs, and acting like a baby.

All these guys have talent coming out of college. They’ll probably say all the right things in interviews prior to being drafted and given a contract. How does one tell who will get distracted by the money and limelight and flame out (Dj, Devin Bush, Claypool) and who won’t ?

Last year I said I would personally drive DJ back to Pittsburgh. This year I would probably just send him a 50% off coupon for a bus ticket. :)
