Fair point. I just hope our O-line can keep him on his feet. Aging (yet still talented) QB with a suspect O-line…

I do agree that Rodgers seems to take good care of himself so that’s an huge plus. Also, like you said, it’s now been 2 years since the achilles. If he remains healthy this year, I feel optimistic about our chances.

I'd take Anthony Richardson if he agreed to certain things ..
Like he would play any position I could use him at, and do it to his best, and I would agree to still keep him as my 3rd Qb. He is big, and highly athletic, I could find a place for him, and still have a 3rd Qb, but he would have to agree to all that, otherwise a big No.
This is also what should have been done with Tebow from the very beginning.

    This is all true.

That said, the biggest aspect that will determine the fate of Aaron Rodgers this season is the Offensive Line; spearheaded by Broderick Jones. I believe I have said why in perpetuity enough. Time for September 7th to arrive for that will be the first of 16 cases for Broderick to make for his NFL Future.

He has done well in the Preseason. Now, time to translate that progress into the Regular Season.

If a team was drafting and got him in the 2 or 3rd round and spoke of a slash role then the risk might be worth it. Now even if you get him on a low end pick you have a a guy (often injured) going into his 3rd year, with the current season ready to start. You are not going to put the 5th year guarantee and its high cost for a player like that, so you get 2 years to see if he can fit the system. If healthy and the start of camp you could probably use that athleticism and develop a scheme in your system, doing it on the fly just to risky.

The Saints took a similar player in Taysom Hill and used him exactly how STD is talking about. Anthony Richardson is even bigger than, and at least as athletic as Hill. If he would agree to play a 'SLASH' role, I would trade for him. The red flag for me comes from him taking himself out of the game during an offensive drive because he was tired. There's no way his players trusted him after that. Because of that I wouldn't trade for him.
I just don't think he is 100% a football player. I think because of God given talent he's always been the best athlete on the field and doesn't know how to put in the hard work it takes to be the best in the NFL.
I don't know him though. Never met the guy. I could be 180 degrees wrong about that. But that's the vibe I get from Anthony Richardson. I would bet the coaches and FO guys around the NFL know already if they would be willing to take a risk on him though.

Joe Burrow would be on his 4th Superbowl if he had a good O line........if he ever gets one, the Bengals are going to destroy our division. That O line can make a mediocre QB into a beast and turn goat QB into a kitten with head injuries. A good O line and a great QB? deadly.

i see another pretty strong start but a crash and burn late season.

losing 4 of the last 6 is VERY possible.

If I was Joe I'd be more worried about my D.
Joe had the most passing yards, and tied for the most overall tds last year. That Defense sucks.

I would not disagree, and honestly you cant blame the player for where they are drafted. If a team wants to spend that capital on a guy with that few starts in college, then it is up to them to have done the research on the type of guy he is and the coaches to get him to NFL play. When you reach you can hit big or whiff as well. Hill was taken as a UDA, cut and then taken by the Saints and put on the PS. Easier for a guy fighting for any chance to accept a swiss army knife role, than it is for a guy taken high in the first round.

I agree with a few points, but it seems to me that if You want to stay in the NFL , you should want to do whatever can help Your team.
