But you have to be realistic. We are not going to the Superbowl being in the same conference as the Bills, Ravens and Chiefs. If we make it to the divisional round and play competitively there, then that's the best we can hope for.

I would love to see us go to the Super Bowl and play Green Bay again and Rodgers to win MVP and completely smoke the Packers for the #7 win. High hopes I know but boy would that be sweet!

 

Well, the Bills and Ravens have franchise QBs and can't make it to the Super Bowl.

 

I also mentioned the Chiefs but I do think that there is a great chance that either the Ravens or Bills go to the Superbowl this year. These 2 teams are just too talented not to finally break through the Chiefs stranglehold on the AFC.

 

Small crowds are more nerve wracking IMO.

 

I believe you, the guy who agreed with you, and 80% of the people that have covered the NFL have said the same thing going on at least 5 years, but what usually happens is a team nobody expects when KC is not at it peak that will do it

IMHO we are still building to win the SB. I really don't think we win the SB this year which is why I chose To win a playoff game. For me its about building and while we look better on paper we still have a few years.

 

At the very least, an AFC Championship appearance will shut me the hell up about Popcorn.

It's sad that what used to be expected was a Super Bowl victory... and nothing else. But the 2020 Steelers are on par with the Steelers of the 1960's... before the era of Noll and the Steelers Super Bowl dynasty of the 70's. The Steelers of the 1980's have reached higher milestones than the current 2020's Steelers. FACT.

I think a lousy WC win is not really going to do it. They have to reach the AFCCG - then you could say, “they made some real noise in the postseason and got close to the SB”.

i think they're built with intention of having a fighting chance to get to the SB (with AR’s signing, Watt’s contract, picking up these other veterans) so not even getting to the AFCCG will look pretty bad.

 

You gotta start somewhere and winning a postseason game would be better than what we've seen in damn near a decade. Progress would be welcome in this department.

An AFC Championship Appearance would be the ideal for me. That said, I have settled with a Playoff Win. Who knows how the Playoff Seeding will be this year; much less the teams, injuries and various other circumstances?!


I do know that constantly getting the door hinges blown off every single Playoff Game isn't sitting well with the likes of the F.O.; namely Andy Weidl and Omar Khan. Why else would they bring in players of Championship Pedigree to the team; doubly so ones with something left to give?!


Gonna have to see how the year plays out.
