The problem with this list, and so many others is that they are solely the opinion of whomever the author is.

Mathew Stafford should not be tier 1. I'm not sure 9 people should be tier 2. Somehow Kenny Pickett sits in his own tier. Poor Kenny.

As for AR, his placement is fair. There are definitely guys on that list AR should be ahead of.

Rodgers is listed above Sam Darnold who several here wanted the Steelers to go after

    Darnold got $55M guaranteed

    Rodgers is a bargain

I agree that Stafford is not in tier 1 but more in tier 2 with Goff,Hurts, etc

The tier 1 for me is Mahomes,Lamar,Allen and Burrow

Darnold is a perfect example that sometimes, being in a great situation matter big time....He was in a terrible situation with the Jets and panthers and he was in a perfect situation in Minnesota last year for the talent and coaching around him....This year in Seattle,we will see,I don't think this is a bad situation but not the situation he was with the vikings in 2024

But I did not want Darnold with the steelers in the last offseason too...not at this price

Don't like that ranking? Welp, how about this one? Three Steelers QBs in the last two season anchoring the chart.

(LOL... Browns, Colts, Saints, doesn't matter who the starter is they are all bottom tier.)

This is more accurate than the NFL sanctioned QB tier list.

I do enjoy Jackson not getting them to the SB. If I was a Bengal fan and they didn't get back to the SB with IMO the best QB in NFL I'd burn the city down.

QB rankings. That is tough, because there are some many different ways they can impact a team.
In the case of Rogers, my God, he had been spectacular throughout his Green Bay career. Just watching him quick snap slow players leaving the field, command of the huddle, he's comrade with his receivers.... watching him just take a few steps to one side and extend the play for what seems forever.
All that added up to 1 Super Bowl appearance and 1 win with MVP honors.
He has 503 career TD's (Peyton has 539)
He has quite a few NFC Championship showings.. 49ers seem to be his archrival (whom he wanted to play for)
2010 was insane, Wild Card to Super Bowl winner (though I destroyed my laptop)

Those 2-years with the crappiest QB Team, a team that should not even be allowed to have a QB, the Jets.. he did show a little sparkle there at the end.
I hope he finds that here.

A lot of those wins is when all 53 players and coaches bond as a team and feed energy and confidence off each other.
This has been one of the better Steelers camps. I don't know where it goes but it has been nice.
I don't really care where they rank him, Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl so anything can happen.

Love and Purdy are behind Stafford and Herbert for me, but mostly pretty good here.

This is a big year for the second year QB's on the list since they will likely be the biggest movers. Fields and Young are a bit older, but have the arrow pointed up. They can make a big move too with a good year. I'd be willing to bet that Young puts in a good year, Fields is going to have a quality year, and Penix is the one I'm most bullish on in the second year QB's not named Daniels. Maye is a contender to have a big leap too. Only time will tell.

He is in the top 3-4 QB for sure...He has also been the best playoffs QB since 2020,even in playoffs losses by the Bills

Id put Rodgers in Tier 4. There are elites, good, decent, not good, garbage, and dumpster fire quarterbacks. Rodgers is not good, based on the last season. (Same for Russell Wilson, not good. I would put Fields as decent for his play last season, Tier 3.)

    What is wrong about that?

Gave him Steve Spagnolo as DC,1-2 super bowl berth would been very possible for Josh Allen....But the chiefs score 10 more PPG vs Buffalo that against everybody else in the playoffs since the 2020 season. This sorry Bills defense could not protect a 3 points lead with 13 seconds left in the game back in 2021

If being honest, I would tier these 2024 starting QBs as:

Tier1: Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts
    Winners of last 3 SB

Tier2: Josh Allen, Joe Burrows, Matthew Stafford
STILL good enough to get to and win the SB

Tier3: Lamar Jackson, Aaron Rodgers, Jayden Daniels, Brock Purdy, CJ Stroud
Has to prove it but should be in the top QB conversations

    Tier4: Everyone else.

Hurts has been to 2 SB, winning one, plus SB MVP. What else does he need to do to make your tier 1?
