Heyward is currently under contract until he is 38 years old.

He will be making $19 million in 2025 and 2026. You have to wonder if trying to get more money moved to 2025 is his way of saying he will be retiring at the end of the year and he wants his 2026 bonus money now, because he will not be here next year to collect it.

Cam's $19 million puts him as the 10th highest paid Interior O-Lineman in the NFL.

 

It will likely get worse, the kids getting NIL, at least one signed with a team and accepted the agreed upon deal, then in the next open portal (like 3 months) left the team and signed with someone else. HS kids are getting paid, the mindset will only escalate.

 

Who knows, but that bonus is for 2016 (not guaranteed), I loved Cam for his career, I am for players getting all they can, but you signed the deal, live with it or retire.

 

Nobody forced Cam to sign a three year deal, he should've signed a one year deal last year. The Steelers should call his bluff play out your contract and deal with it.

 

I didn't see Cam dispute what Schefter said, it's obvious he's doing a hold in.

 

I think we should and probably will pay them, sorry to say.

 

Cam should be top of that list. My opinion.

 

Good grief, you believe anything the media says. Also you fail to realize Cam confronting "steelers depot" is from last year. Cam also waited over a month to reply to their non sense, while several other media outlets ran with the story...... so that's why I said take it with a grain of salt. But, you're all in like 50 year old browns fan in 2021 having their first road playoff win since 1969.
