Because of age and a hip replacement my ski days are over

I used to live in Colorado and loved it

I will say now that I’m retired I don’t dislike winter as much as I did when I worked because when it’s cold and miserable I just don’t go out

A heavy snowfall and a fire in the fireplace now

    Gray and just cold :puking2:

Justin Fields, quarterback for the New York Jets, is recovering from a dislocated toe suffered during training camp. He was carted off the field after the injury, but X-rays were negative and he has returned to practice. He is considered day-to-day and is expected to be back in some capacity soon, potentially participating in individual drills or limited practices.

I'd bet that when you lived in Colorado you were always out looking for a hip new joint. Now we're all out looking for a new hip joint. :zombie:

I’m drinking the kool aid, playoff drought ends this season.

Two biggest concerns are staying healthy, will be an even bigger risk having some older players at key positions.

Can the Oline get it together.

As far as talent goes though, I like it, I like it a lot.

Not to make light of it because it is debilitating but PTSD after Pickett's last season....

and now the Browns make it an even half dozen QBs after injuries to Pickett, Sanders, and Gabriel

"Sources: Browns are signing QB Tyler 'Snoop' Huntley, who spent part of last season with Cleveland," Schefter wrote on X. "With Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel nursing hamstring injuries, and Shedeur Sanders having a sore shoulder, the Browns need another arm. Enter Huntley."

what i'm seeing so far is MT and omar are all giddy over the defense. they are replacing injured defensive linemen and replacing defensive backs. where are the additions to the struggling offensive linemen? where are the vets being added to this group? we have added vets to every other position on the team. TE, WR, DB, LB, RB, QB, DL. it sure seems like jones is holding the rest of this unit hostage waiting for him to get it together or bust. am i missing something here? will he ever get IT?

This season will speak volumes for Jones. He will be either a stud or a dud. Time will tell.

    I'm extremely convinced

The team either wins games this season or they don't win games this season.

Dang. You’re a genius. You should run to Latrobe and share that incredible knowledge with MT and the entire coaching staff. Vegas odds makers should contact you immediately for that gifted insight. What would happen if they tied a game or two though?

The bookies don't believe in the Steelers as much as we do. I've been going to the Hard Rock Casino ever since we got legal gambling and placed a bet on Steelers and Pirates, over/under win total. Steelers come through for me and then the Pirates take it back. This season I'm getting their app and betting $50.00 a game on all 17 Steeler games. Gonna make a thread before first game and take the advise from fellow board members on who to place the bet on.

I have a nephew who says he is not addicted to gambling but he is. I sat next to him last year during the Steeler/Bengal game which we won 44-38. He frigging places bets in game. I think he lost over 200 that one day.

I did not bet money on that and I don't want to start that but since 2022,I predict the over in each of those years(I think the over, under was like at 8.0,8.5 in the last 3 years) and overall I was only one win too high(2022,2023) or too low(2024)

I take the over again this year,if it stay at 8.5 but I will not bet real money since this is not my style!

Nice attempt at a Pimply Dan-ism. Not bad. The "no loose" is implied. :lolol:

I’ve bet on the Steelers 4 times

Each time they won the game

Each time they failed to cover the spread

I’m not helping anyone out :smiley1:

    A Public Service message :)

For many people, gambling can be a harmless form of entertainment. But when gambling goes from being a recreation to an obsession, it becomes a problem. Whether buying lottery tickets, going to a casino or playing poker with friends, a person may have an addiction, damaging family relationships and ending friendships, jobs and even lives.

Problem gambling affects people of all cultures, ethnicities, ages, genders and incomes. If not addressed, problem gambling can lead to gambling disorder, which is a diagnosable addictive disorder.

Now my public service hours are completed.
