I am worried about this Oline. If we are truly all in this year, I am baffled that we would go into the season with seemingly no depth behind Fautanu and Jones. Fautanu is unproven and coming off an injury and Jones hasn’t developed in his two years in the league. It makes no sense.

Yeah it would be nice to upgrade the FS position and add a complimentary number 2 at WR but if we don’t fix the LT position it doesn’t matter what we add at wr2 or a FS.

I think Fautanu will be solid if he is healthy....I am not sure about Jones.....

Not worried about it yet. People got all giddy over Pickett’s performance in preseason a couple years ago and were subsequently crushed when it didn’t translate to the regular season. If the line is looking like crap in week 4 or so then maybe it’s time to start worrying.

people seem to forget we have three second year men and one third year man. One of those second year guys played less than a game of snaps. It takes time for an offensive line to start working as a unit. It takes even longer when you’re running a zone based blocking scheme. It’s also even more important they work as one in zone based scheme. If one man is out of step the whole thing falls apart.

It will be what it is at this point, on different YT feeds I have seen 'sign a good T from FA"...who for crying out loud? There may be some experienced cuts you can get for depth, but a month out from opening day who realistically is on the market that adds any real confidence? They have invested 2 first round picks into the T positions, they kept the same coaching staff who has given the team a bottom ranked O line for several years. Will they figure it out? Maybe, I am not one to be critical after 2 weeks in camp, either they have put together a winning formula or not...we will see.

I know camp is where you try things out, hence the TE grouping, etc. One formation that was reportedly tried was T T G C G, I do not know if this has ever been done in the league, maybe it is something that will work..but to me it's just a mystery we cannot even seem to get basics down, lol.

If Rodgers gets hurts in preseason or early in the season because of a bad block of Jones or other,it will be a big deal. They need urgency at the start

Exactly. I should have clarified my above statement. I am worried about LT and Jones in particular.

In my opinion our answer at LT is on the roster. Darnell Washington in my mind could be a great LT with his size and movement skills. Its a more important position than TE as well. I guess we can continue to try to develop Jones and keep Washington lined up beside him as a TE in the meantime but it limits what we can do scheme wise if we always have to have Washington there to protect Jones.

In case you didn't know, there is a dearth of decent tackles in the NFL. Lions and Bucs LTs are on the PUP list. Dolphins OL is a mess.

First off the federal reserve consists of 12 voting members. Powell is just the guy in front of the camera. He doesn’t make the decision on his own. So no it’s not just like that and politics don’t belong here.
Secondly injuries happen. It’s football. Any player can get injured on any given play. In addition to that it’s a bit disengenous to whine about the line from 5 years ago since not a single current linemen was with the team back then.

IDK if that came up from HIM in a statement during an interview, it was mentioned from a guy on a YT feed (to many to remember). The depth right now has both the starter and swing guy on light injuries, so its likely being looked at on some level.

Hopefully ours will not only be decent, but become a dearth star.

I’m not sure which you know less about, the job of the S&C staff, or the role of the federal reserve. But in both examples you should keep your ignorance to yourself rather than expose it publicly.

This is total failure on so many levels.

Tomlin should have been fired years ago... but making a politcal analogy to support your cult's total cluelessness on economics is beyond pathetic.

There’s an old saying about quitting while you’re ahead. Unfortunately you were behind from the start with your first asinine post in this thread. You really shouldn’t double down as you’re only embarrassing yourself further. Tucker Carlson? Really?

It’s not that you have a different view and understanding. It’s that you clearly don’t have any understanding and are just parroting some crap you heard and think sounds good.
