    Apparently the Steelers broke out a new formation today. 0 running backs and 4 tight ends. Smith lined up in the backfield. Personally I would line up heyward in the backfield over smith. That way you at least have the threat of a run. Although, they could bring heyward in motion and handoff to him.

    5 years ago, we were joking when they would roll out an all TE formation on 3-rd and long. almost there... :)

    They really did this??
    I was talking about the 3 TE set earlier, and if You can pass effectively out of it, it freaking hard to stop, but I never heard of this.

    Yes. I’m very serious. Think we ran the most 13 personnel last season. We just weren’t very good at it

    It didn't work though as the offense was way out of synch..
    Gibbs used that a time or two, goal line as I recall. I can't quite recall if that was the 2007 season with Smith on staff - though Smith was on the defensive side.

    It was funny because Rodgers was talking about the package on the McAfee show a few hours before they did it in practice.

    I watched part of it. I found the fans in the background yelling and screaming annoying so ended up turning it off. There was even one guy with a commanders jersey on yelling something and waving a sign.

    Apparently they ran 14 personnel today. Don’t know if I’ve ever witnessed an nfl play without a single wide receiver on the field.
