I know the turnovers played a part in the Steelers losing, I was just being a smart ass with the LeBeau comment ;).

Pouncey was out for the playoffs with Legursky filling in at center. He did OK until the Superbowl where he got manhandled. The one pick that Ben threw was a 14 point turn around. Wallace was sprinting open down the left sidelines but when Ben released the ball he was hit by Legursky who was blown back by the Packers NT right into Ben.

That was a such a huge play, that I still see it without having to look it up, and watch it.....because when it 1st started to progress I said.....td... , and then He got the center shoved into his lap

I keep hearing that logic, but I believe it is flawed. They are going to have to do exactly that, win without Watt, at some point relatively soon. Holding on to him past his expiration date doesn't fix that. He may not be there yet, but there is a very good chance it is not four years away.

We saw them screw that up pretty much every way possible. Anyone who thinks the Steelers' mistakes weren't at least part of why Pickett didn't work out in Pittsburgh is deluding themselves.

If the Packers didn't suddenly develop an odd case of the drops that day, they would have been well over 40 points regardless of what the Steelers offense did.

CORRECT - they dropped at LEAST 3 TD passes, in STRIDE

We got annihilated that day, altho the score did not reflect it. the D sucked! AROD destroyed them

THIS is why STATS and SCORE alone do not tell the story

watch the games people - then give the story.....

Dull people blaming Mendenhall and Wallace (at times....)

Despite the defense getting shredded by ARod the Steelers had momentum when Mendenhall fumbled.

Pickett didn't do himself any favors by sucking for three quarters then making a few plays in the fourth quarter, running himself into sacks and he also couldn't stay healthy.

    they had no momentum.

it was early in the 4th Q - first play of the 4th Q

    We were getting blown up.

    Turnovers happen.

Ben did little that day, VERY LITTLE. Arians had no plan that day, he was always SANDLOT as our OC, he was an idiot as our OC. He wanted Ben to CHUCK and DUCK - THAT was the plan. Ben was athletic enough that it worked for a while.....

we were OUTMATCHED on both sides of the ball. We had no answers all day long

again - we were FORTUNATE the score was not 40 - 17 entering the 4th Q.

    WATCH THE GAMES

BOTH Pickett AND the Steelers FAILED.

this current organization CANNOT develop a young QB

Well, the QB coach and OC are only in their second season here. Let's see them work with a better prospect than Pickett.

They were down by 6 in good field position when Mendenhall fumbled IIRC.

I can, and will actually agree with both of you on this, because you both are correct, our D was getting destroyed(sadly Troy P was beyond his sell by date),and our center was getting abused too, and yet because of the dropped passes we were still in it until the fumble.

    He has

He’s blocked a lot of people

That’s his coping mechanism when he can’t defend himself

    That’s why I like you

    You post redundant stuff

    I harass you for it

    You harass me

    Then life is good :drinks:

For example if I told @KnoxVegasSteel@KnoxVegasSteel that he was a moron I don’t think he would block me I think he would be kind enough to give a short and to the point reply with his thoughts so to speak :smiley1:

And knowing @KnoxVegasSteel@KnoxVegasSteel those thoughts would include references to genitalia and bodily fluids, and get him warned.
