For the umpteenth time…so if we don’t win Superbowl every year , season is a failure?
Sure would be nice to win a playoff game, at least that is showing progress. Quit doing same s hit year after year.
In musician terms, say that you enter a battle of the bands every year and you lose year after year.
Will you be satisfied and change nothing and accept it or will you write new music to overcome your past failures?

1st battle of the bands is .....I won't even say.
2nd. You can't make the freaking playoffs if You don't win in the regular season. Like a lot of those teams you showed that have won a playoff game....they haven't even won enough games to go back to the playoffs since. You think that's better. Please use that gray matter. .
3rd. You , and I have completely different definitions on what is successful.
If we make the playoffs this year, I will consider it a successful regular season, if we don't go to the SB , I will consider it a unsuccessful post season. There is no in between for me.
The only way I have ever felt a not going to the SB , and only winning a few games in the playoffs is either with a rookie HC, or a rookie Qb that's all.

Do you think Tomlin is a better coach than Noll. Your reasoning being that Tomlin never had a non losing season?
My opinion is Cowher was a better coach than Tomlin also.

Cowher had 6-10 seasons, yes that sucked. Big difference in him and Tomlin, he improved team the following season.

Sorry if I cut into this convo at the wrong point but the difference for me? Welp, I get to watch one more Steeler game in the season. That's a plus in my book.

I mean, why watch any games unless it is the Steelers playing in a SB?

(I like to watch good games being played but I will admit the Steelers playoff appearances haven't been what I would call 'good games'.)
