I'll give it a B. I don't like losing Minkah but in return we improve both our offense and defense.

    B
They traded one player and got two starters back in return, they also didn't give up any draft picks in 2026 .

B Minkah was trash last two years but Ramsey is older and we don’t really have a need at TE

Out of nowhere there are reports the Minkah was the problem behind the communication issues and supposedly the guy they were talking about when some player said 10 guys were doing their job and one guy wasn't. Didn't see that coming.

It honestly comes down to how the team views Ramsey for me. Juan Thornhill is here yes but Ramsey has far more coverage chops in multiple ways as a Safery despite playing so few snaps.

If he is the 1 to 1 Safety replacement, that would be an A.

If he is a multi Role DB, that would be a B+.

If he is strictly a CB only?! That is a C.

Sign Free Agent Justin Simmons and Khan will impress the hell out of me.

The Steelers were in talks with Simmons last year after Denver released him, but lost out to the Falcons with their $8 million offer. For Atlanta, Simmons played in 16 games last year with 2 Ints.

I think we still need a wide receiver,

I grade it B , there is talk of Ramsey playing a Minkah type role as hybrid safety to support Elliot and Thornhill

thornhill, elliott, ramsey, porter, slay, bishop, echols. A for our secondary.

wilson, queen, holcomb, harrison. A for our ILB'ers.

TJ, highsmith, herbig, sawyer. A for our OLB'ers.

cam, harmon, benton, black. A for our D-Line.

    defense looks pretty solid.

offense looks pretty good as well. sure wish we had a QB for more than one year. we will go as the O-Line goes.

IMO, regardless what moves the Steelers make it all comes down to the desire and health Aaron Rodgers has.

Actually they do have a need for a TE Parham is out for the year with an injury, maybe this trade will force Conner Heyward off of the roster. I expect Jonnu to play many roles besides just TE he's another offensive weapon.

    B seems fair to me.

After sleeping on it, I'm just not hating them moving Minkah. Was shocked at first, but now kind of pleased with the move for a number of reasons.

    1. Contract
    2. Unimpressive play last two years
    3. Overall demeanor...just seems to have lost an edge

Excited for the potential attitude that this defense can play with. Ramsey, Elliott, Heyward, Watt, Slay, JPJ all play with an edge.

This trade is an A+ as far as I'm concerned. The only Steeler that has had more excuses made for him other than Mike Tomlin is Minkah Fitzpatrick. Minkah hasn't played well the last couple of seasons IMO.

Jalen Ramsey is still and elite NFL corner IMO. Jonnu Smith comes in and is instantly the second option in the passing game. He can play from the slot. He can play tight. He can even play outside. If the Steelers use Jonnu Smith like Miami did last year, I think he could easily catch another 80 balls. Plus he instantly becomes a first or second option in the red zone.

This trade is a no brainer to me. The Steelers get an elite corner and a playmaker. The Steelers give up a player who's play has fallen off considerably.

Assuming smith and Ramsey continue to play at a high level it’s a win. Kahn improved both the offense and defense. Yes, we lost a solid safety, but there’s an easy argument to be made that replacing a safety is significantly easier than a cornerback

To me Minkah lost his elite playmaking ability right after the Nick Chubb injury. He has played less aggressive since that injury. This trade was an A overall because of how soft Fitzpatrick has played since then. A hit like that can definitely affect a players career going forward. I like the guy but he just hasn’t been the same player when we first made the trade for him.

i think we need a TE. 3 TE's , and i think Rodgers will know what to do with them. This kid is a playmaker.

    bye bye to Heyward.....

    B-/C-
The swap of Minkah cost us money, unless a contract is negotiated. On the field, Ramsey is 30 but I think he can play. If he shifts to safety he could extend his career.
Smith is a nice addition and adds some versatility.
    I see potential.
    Still could use a WR.

B-, possibly an A+ depending on how things play out with Ramsey and Smith. Minkah has been almost non-existent the last 2 years, so I don't think it will be that much of a problem replacing him.

Well with Pat and Washington I would say that need is further down the list. WR is much more concerning.

I have not heard if Miami was taking on any part of the salaries of either player.

Adam Schefter when asked that exact question said the full details of the contract had not been released.
