While reading the OP's link, saw this story comparing the 1960 WS Bucs vs the 1971 WS Bucs. Very nice and interesting read for us few old timer Pirate fans remaining.

Bucs just signed Cutch for another 1 year contract. In the overall scheme of things - why not? He still has some pop and maybe puts a few more folks in the seats and allow him to retire as a Buc, when ever that comes.

 

Have not seen you around board lately. Hope you had a good Holiday season. I'm thinking you are staying away so you can get mentally prepared for all the excitement when those Battling Bucs lay waste to the NLC.

 

Really cool stat find: Only FOUR players in MLB history have more runs, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, runs batted in, base on balls, stolen bases and a higher batting average than Andrew McCutchen: Hank Aaron, Barry Bonds, Willie Mays, and Dave Winfield. They are the only players to exceed Cutch in each of those statistical categories.
