That's all. I been told to stop my b!tching about the heat so I'm getting it out here.

I can take the cold but can't take the stupid heat. Resort town and our population is about to explode. Driving becomes so different. MFer's take over my golf course. Rant over. Come on winter.

OK, only bright spot, young girls tend to wear pretty much nothing.

You guys up north don't know heat.
The only thing I hate about Summer is the constant mowing, and how every freaking year, no matter how good My mowers are working when I put them up, they are a useless when I bring them back out, and have to work on them again.

My son always makes fun of me when I b!tch. He lives in Louisiana. Likes sending me his temps every morning. What is this lawnmowing you talk of??;) We moved into a over 55 no lawn house. TBH if we still lived in are old home I'd be paying to have our lawn cut.

See Your son knows exactly what I'm talking about.
Most of the places I've lived, someone else mowed, but I can't afford it as much with all the land now. So I grudgingly have to do it.

I'm with you on the heat! Santee is 20 miles inland from the beach but, consistently 10-20 degrees hotter!

Wow. That is a big difference off shore. That is a bit of a drive to cool down on the beach. I'm off shore but only about 5 miles from the beach. I wish I had the Pacific ocean but stuck with the Atlantic that never gets warm where I am until September. I've swam the Pacific in the San Diego area. Awesome.

Was 95 all this week here in the Eastern Sierra area of CA. Fortunately, it's a dry heat. Dry pits and lips.

I spent an entire summer in Texas many, many moons ago. 40 days straight, the temperature never dropped below 88 degrees... even at night/ early morning. And the highs were always high 90s to low 100s.

I'll take a Texas summer over a PA summer any day. A Texas 95 feels like a PA 85.

Now Florida? That's Satan's armpit. Forget that. Humidity so high, you need to chew your air before you breathe it.

    I love summer. :drinks:

I used to hate the heat, but not so much anymore unless it's paired with crazy high humidity and there's outdoor work to do. I lived in California as a kid, and spent time in Texas, but don't really remember the "dry heat". Visited south Florida in May a couple times and it felt hotter than any day of summer here.

As you know, the further inland you go in California the lower the humidity. When I lived in my namesake Mojave Desert for 20+ years, days were quite often sitting at 2-4% humidity in the afternoons while triple digit temps raged on. I loved it. My one and only time in Florida for a stopover in Miami on my way to Sandals in Ocho Rios Jamaica was possibly the most miserable I've ever been except for a few days in Tulsa where the temp was 100 and the humidity was identical.
