Didn't think a deal would get done, wonder who caved in? Oh well, hope our new young and improved line plants his ass on the turf all day long.

Can't wait to see the numbers. Bet ya it's a far cry from what we offered. Enjoy playing in a 4-3.

I thought Arizona was where former Steelers went to continue their declining careers.

I appreciate what he did for the team but finishing in Cinci? Really? I wish I could wish him well but can't (unless beating the Ravens or Browns helps us).

Not sure who else he was supposed to sign with since no one other than the Steelers made him an offer.

Saw this on the home page, for what it's worth, don't know if that means he was turning down interviews but maybe he was only interested in playing in the North

    Alan Robinson @arobinson_Trib
James Harrison signs 2-year deal with #Bengals. Goal was to stay in AFC North. Likes playing for Marvin Lewis.

No matter who he (or any former Steeler great) goes to...I wish him the best of luck. Just like other old greats before him...Porter, Llyod, Greene, etc...he will ALWAYS be a Steeler. Go get em James (except for 2 games a year, haha).

Nope. Can't do it. James is an idiot and if he and his agent hadn't been so bullheaded and stubborn he'd be getting ready for the 2013 as a member of THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS for more money than he likely signed for with the Bungles today. JH deluded himself into believing that he was worth more than he actually was and now he's got to get himself motivated by signing with an AFC North team so he can exact some sort of revenge on the team that let him go and disrespected him. Whatever motivates you James. You're no longer Silverback in my book. You're now just a goofy chimpanzee that overestimated your worth and now you're the enemy. Thanks for the memories and for arguably the greatest play in Super Bowl history, but you blew it big time!

Dont see him doing much at his age and condition in a 4-3. Thanks for past years of service James. Good luck with your new team!

So am I correct to assume that you think that
    Franco Harris
    Rod Woodson
    Carnell Lake
    Mike Webster
    Levon Kirkland
    Joe Greene
    Kevin Green
and others are idiots as well?

Who did Mean Joe play for besides us? I know Franco spent a little time at the Seahawks but I know didn't Greene ever played anywhere else. Are you talking about his coaching positions?

I think that anyone that overestimates his worth to the extent that Harrison and his agent did AND goes out of his way to pander to his old team's chief rivals so he can exact some kind of revenge on the team that refused to overpay for him is an IDIOT. I think some of the players you list above, Franco and Woodson come to mind, also looked foolish based on how they too overestimated their value and ended up with a little tarnish on their respective legacies. Franco as a Seahawks?? Yuck. James Harrison as a Bungle?? PATHETIC! Especially when it was so unnecessary!

Pandered to the Steelers rivals? The Steelers rivals were the only teams to show interest.

The Rats. The Bungles. There was even some talk of the Clowns. Said he wanted to remain in the AFC North. I guess he maybe just likes the geography. I'm sure it has nothing to do with trying to get back at the team that called his bluff.

He went on to coach outside of the Steelers organization as did Kevin Greene. Kevin Greene's disloyalty even helped to beat the Steelers in the SB. If peoples loyalty to the Steelers is going to be questioned during their playing days, then why not during their coaching days as well? Its only logical.
