i just saw on OTC that rodgers has a 500,000 per game roster bonus. the only guy on the team with this. 3 , 650,000 base. 10,000,000 signing bonus. will this kick in at the end of the year for games played? 8.5 mil. extra if so and maybe more for a playoff game.

bud light with their DEI hire which cost them tons of money started back tracking and showing people out in their 4 wheel drives drinking the beer again. visual.

how many people want to pay premium prices as the NFL has done for certain matchup games when your QB would be mason rudolph against lemar jackson or joe burrow? so to raise our bottom dollar we will give them an arron rodgers. we have to keep selling those tickets so we don't hurt our product. it's not about the steelers wanting to be the best team, it's about visuals and money making.

just like the rooney's said we will never charge a seating license to our season ticket holders. well that lasted a year or two and then we paid for a seating license. then the games we purchased used to be one price no matter who we were playing, then it became you pay more for different matchups.

just like the nfl putting different games on TV and flexing games to get the absolute highest viewer rating. follow the money holds true and don't think it doesn't.

No mystery here. Rodgers signed for about the same money (AAV including incentives) they offered Fields. They weren't going to offer less money to a better QB. Steelers had a budget for QBs this season and they stuck to it even though they had the cap space for more.

Their per game stands for the max bonus amount, and is charged to the cap as such. It's then reduced as need be at the end of the season for any games the player missed.

Makes sense, remember when the OL ot a bonus at the end of the year and it put them over the CAP, cost them a draft pick.

The league closely monitors incentives anymore, and splits them into Likely To Be Earned (LTBE) and Not Likely To Be Earned (NLTBE). LTBEs are allocated to the cap straight away; NLTBEs are not. If the latter are achieved they are typically just applied to the following year's books.
