Heaney is the one who could help a contending team who is short one starter to win a pennant. The yield could be greater if there is a small bidding war. It is tempered by the fact that they are trading for half a year of Heaney.
I would not cry if they moved Reynolds and/or Hayes. They are two rare cases of Nutting letting the moths escape from his wallet but they turned out to not be worth it.
This front office stinks like it just tunneled it’s way out of Shawshank. On chimichanga night.

And now to have the Phillies kick our ass in the Burgh where most the crowd will be Philly fans.

    Is Aaron warming up yet?;)

Joke of the day. If the Bucs somehow sweep the Phillies I'm counting that as another WS for me;)

Any golfers here? I went up and watched the LPGA for a bit today. They hit a golf ball in a way I'm not familiar with. I might pure a golf ball twice a round. They flush it so sweet. Funny, one girl hit her tee shot a little thin, you could hear it, and we both said thin at same time. This you may find shocking but the hotter girls have a larger following.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather watch Nelli Korda swing her hips than Scottie Scheffler.

And once again the Bucs try to win 3 straight for first time this season. Skenes goes tomorrow which means we might score a run. This is my WS.

Ho hum. Another series win. Maybe King Henry finally figured things out at the plate. Nice pitching, again. Only 15 under .500. Sweet.

This is it for me. Sweep the Phillies and I'll stop following season on a wonderful winning note.

    Please give Paul run support.

OK - you're out of here SM. Got the W, not for Skenes but still a W. 14 under .500. The turnaround has commenced. :lolol:

What a play to secure the win. Skenes got pulled at 1-1. I disagree with the decision. That is as close to a WS feeling I'll ever get with this organization. As always F U Nutbag!!!!

    Dare I say 4 in a row??

Maybe some payback against the Dolphins...err....Marlins who took 3 of 4 to open the season. Let's see how the boys do against a team with a worse record, negative run differential and further below .500 than Bucs. PNC should draw about 2500 for each of these games, if lucky.

Skenes didn't look happy about getting pulled from the game. I turned the game on in the 3rd just in time to see the Phils score their run. Switched back to what ever my wife was watching. Turned it back on in the eight to see the 2 outs and Skenes get pulled. I guess their stupid analytics aren't dead. I don't know who that ump was, but he needs to be sent packing for those 2 missed strikes.

I guess the complete game is dead and buried. I remember guys like Ferguson Jenkins and Sandy Koufax having 25-30 complete games a season. There were about that many in all of baseball last year. Yet I could not prove that arm injuries are down, though it would make sense if they were.
And they finally DID win 3 in a row. With their starters it was going to happen.

They invest so much money in them now days they don't want to overuse their arms. Still remember Denny McLain winning over 30 in a season. Not sure how many were complete games.

Per Google: "In 1968, he compiled a marvelous 31-6 record with a minuscule 1.96 ERA in a league-high 41 games (all starts). He also led the league that season in complete games (28), and innings pitched (336.0)."

Not bad, considering he's now pounding out license plates instead of catcher mitts.

Four in a row. Break up da Bucs!
If Kelly quits now, he would be the first Pirates manager in a long time to leave with a winning percentage above .500.
They are playing much better ball now.

Gonzales is back and seems up to speed. I think one of Frazier or IKF will be dealt soon. I don’t know if they could deal both, the infielders worth promoting are in AA and A ball (Termarr Johnson and Konnor Griffin). I don’t know that any from AAA are getting that call.
Malcolm Nuñez is hitting .316 with good OPS, but he is more of a 1B/3B guy, not a middle infielder. If they make the move and trade Hayes, you could see Nuñez for the Pirates I would think.
