So I guess you are trying to say Fields has always been on the worst team in the league, because he has never been good.
    Funny the excuses he gets.
Wait till this year.....well, well it's the Jets what do You expect. LoL. Fields the player with built-in excuses.

Yes, I do feel better about any shot at winning a playoff game...to end the ugly drought and to stop being a league laughingstock, with Rodgers as our starting QB in 2025.

That said, at 41/42, the chances he makes it through the year healthy aren't overly good (won't necessarily be his fault). So though I feel good, I think we'll be limping into the playoffs with Rudolph or Howard starting and probably another January massacre (the bad kind) forthcoming. This would be after a surprisingly good year for Rodgers in the games he does play. I know 4 TD games would be rare in Arthur Smith's runapalooza, so dreams of 30 TDs might be far-fetched, but if the run game is above average, 25+ TDs from Rodgers means a darn good season.

I feel like he's a better option than Rudolph, and better than Will will be before he gets more experience, but I'm not a fan of the potential drama and arrogance he brings with him. Time will tell.

And, I love how you Fields hater's love dragging in his Chicago Days. I was just speaking on Field's days with Pittsburgh, not how he played in Chicago during his rookie season.

What were his fumble stats from last year? Comparing 2024 seasons, why you hating on Fileds? I think you bring too much Chicago hate to the table, as this is sounding like your Mitch Trubisky rants from a few years ago. :)

LOL, I think that happened earlier in the year when their was talk of Caleb Williams getting traded to the Steelers.

I think a 3rd former Bears 1st round QB would have killed off @S.T.D@S.T.D. :)

He wasn't that bad in Chicago, despite being in a horrible situation with Chase Claypool as a key offensive player for like 10 games and having such a clueless head coach... That's not an excuse, it's the reality.

I mean, last year the Bears with that same clueless head coach, he was about to destroy another young QB, and don't use the fact that Williams was only a rookie when we saw the second overall pick after him lead the Commanders to a 12-5 record and an NFC title game.

Rudolph is what he is... a career backup. For the Jets, I think they're going to have a better season than the Jets had in 2024 with Rodgers if Fields stays healthy... Let's hope they don't win in week 1, otherwise it's going to be a hell of a week for the Steelers, especially if Fields destroys us

Exactly what Fields is, a backup. Don't compare Fields to a rookie either.

He average a fumble a game with Pittsburgh.....even all the way back to preseason. Didn't you watch???
I was exactly correct on Trubisky, and Fields.
Hell Trubisky played better in Chicago than in Pittsburgh

Again, this is not rare to see a rookie having a great rookie season in the current NFL...Just look at Daniels last season with Washington

    Who cares about preseason?

And for his fumbles, this problem was very correctable since Fields' problem with fumbles was under center. If you put him on shotgun and use his legs more often, that's when he's at his best.Fields was very good with us. He did what Tomlin asked of him, which was to protect the ball. This is one of the big reasons why Tomlin has had a big floor but a very low ceiling for several years. He doesn't play to win, but to avoid losing the game.

Trubisky and Fields' opinions in Chicago are very different. Fields has a much more positive opinion of Chicago.

Exactly, then that should tell you everything you need to know about Fields, because the best he has looked in 4 years is average. If You aren't good in 3 years....big big big chances, You will never be good. Outside of Fields ability to run, and that comes with a huge case of fumbles (44 in 4 years) he is average at best. I actually don't know how people can't see this that watch football.
Yet for some people,if a Qb can run....well he has potential. LoL
The Qbs main attribute is to distribute the ball, safely, and efficiently, and He sucks at this. All of our best offensive weapons disappeared when He played, and magically reappeared when He was benched, and yet some want to brag about him in Pittsburgh. LoL

Do I feel better that it's official? Yes the distraction was ridiculous. Does the signing make me feel better about the season? No not as much as watching the "highlights" that It's Yinzburg posted on YouTube from last year. Some of the tight windows throws and extending the plays looked really good. Won't know until the first pregame action for sure.

He averaged a fumble every game , preseason, and regular season ....yet people blame Chicago. LoL
Again in the last 4 year combined he leads all NFL players with fumbles, and I have to hear how good he could be. LoL

I would assume not but if he does just to see how they plan to use all the new pieces. It will be vanilla ball but better than football in shorts against your teammates

He had one of the most clueless head coach since a long time who let Fields with his bad habits...Williams had this same problem last year since he held the ball way too long too often, reason why he had 68 sacks against him....Good chance that changes this year with Ben Johnson because coaching matters big time for player development, including the QB position

That only proves what I'm saying....he picks one guy, and stays with him, that's not distributing the ball. He does this because he doesn't see the Field, it's another reason why he runs so much, his main target is covered, and he panics. Again go look at the numbers, almost all of our players on offense targets went up after the change at Qb, and Wilson is washed, so that tells you how bad Fields is. You shall see in NY, but of course many will say , but it's the Jets, even though He has always looked that way on two different teams.
