I'm concerned about AR's age, obviously, but I am pretty stoked about having the most intellectually based, red-pilled QB in the league on our team, even if it is for just a season.

They said on the new today, that he is the oldest player to play for the Steelers, regardless of position.

I personally have a problem with it.
It’s a team. Everyone else (mostly) is all in working their ass off.

Agree on the CB position; you can never have enough these days. I thought DJ Reed was well worth the pickup. Some didn't like his size (5'9"), but he'd been successful both inside and out - my idea was to start him inside and hopefully resurrect the nickel corner blitz we used to run with Hilton. Echols has the speed to be dangerous in that role.

As for the QBs, if that many are available fine - but it doesn't quell the ~50% success rate, and would also mean we wouldn't have to move up as far to take a blue chip QB, which seemed to be the original point behind your comment on retaining all the comp picks.

When I originally posted this, I thought it was a joke. But, now after listening to all the comments on Terry Bradshaw going off on the Steelers, Mike Tomlin, and Aaron Rodgers, it will not surprise me at all to see #12 hit the field for the Steelers this year.

I like Howard. I don't see a QB draft pick next year that would be better than Howard with a year as a pro under his belt. There might be some good qbs coming out next year, but no one right now that is that much better than Howard

It's possible that he was only lying to everyone else, but I doubt it. Agree to disagree.

Bradshaw has said worse things about the Steelers. He cut ties to the team and the city and the team for years, and they never gave out his number. They aren't going to do it over this.

There will be plenty of QBs next year that are better than Howard.

He's not wearing #12 just like he didn't wear it with the Jets either.

Their record is 29-22 in the regular season since 2022,who is not bad but this is not 36-23

If they would keep Fields as starter and let Arthur Smith do his job with Fields last year, maybe the steelers would their QB for the future right now....Maybe

The last time we drafted a QB when the current starter wore #8...
