Much better shape I agree, but I do believe softer. We've all seen guys play , back in the day, with the same injuries that sideline players today, and I'm not talking about concussions.

Players don't use the needle like they used to. To many Players want to have long careers, not just see if they can play in the 2nd half of a game.

    DEAD LAST.... DEAD LAST.

Finally the strength coaches. They ranked dead last with a C-, 75% of players said they got an individualized training plan ranking 31 of 32 and the coaches slightly contributed to their overall success landing them dead last.

I thought for sure someone was going to get fired over this. Even Rooney said all the injury problems the Steelers had in 2024 was not acceptable at his end of year interview.

I forgot how many 1,000 yard seasons does Muth have??? Hell has he even ever been over 750 yards? Answer NOPE.... And Never!!! Arthur Smith had Pitts over 1,000 yards in his rookie year.

Look, I get that the injuries are frustrating, and the report card had some ugly spots (ownership scored a D :cautious:), but that's doesn't mean we go overboard.

Strength coaches don't have a part in the regimen that Wilson and Parham were participating in when they suffered their injuries - that's the training staff (not that I'm placing blame on them either).

And who cares that Pitts had 1,026 yards in his rookie year when he hasn't come close to that since - with or without Smith. The point is how can you say Freiermuth is 'nothing' when the guy you think is so much better hasn't shown significantly better production?

Pitts hasn't been worth the top 10 pick Atlanta used on him, and no the Steelers shouldn't trade for him.
