Aaron Rodgers plans to sign with the Steelers

They are not a championship contender with a 42-year-old QB. Especially an eccentric, self-centered weirdo like Rodgers. I'm sure there will be as many splash plays as there are games he misses with injury. But they aren't going anywhere with him. The upshot is that it should be interesting IF he does sign. I just hate that this team groveled to get this moron.

Exactly. That said, I've never wanted to go to a concert and have a singer stand there and espouse their beliefs whether I agree with them or not. I'm there to be entertained, not preached to. It's one thing if they play songs that are political in nature. Another thing altogether if they use that platform to try to influence fans' beliefs.

 

The same article that announced this also said this has been in place for months. So everybody can stop with the crying about waiting. They all knew something you didn't.

 

I'm glad it's a one year deal so that when he starts to turn on everyone around him and he will at great length it will be a short amount of time and then the drama will be gone.

 

Tom Pelisserro on the NFL Network said that Rodgers is flying into Pittsburgh tomorrow and signing the deal.

I don't think you remember just how good Rodgers was in that game. Remember, the Packers dropped a bunch of passes, and he still torched the Steelers for 304 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

I thought that when they didn't take a Sanders in the first few rounds. It won't happen, but now I want to see him on Ben's podcast. Ben can bring the beers, and Rodgers can bring the bark for them to sample.
