RIP to the dumb ass who wrote this article:

"The average American spends 36.8 hours per day on their phone (no need to fact-check me, I'm a professional). Is it any wonder battery life is such a problem? With all that texting, scrolling, recording and reading, there's never enough juice."

I saw this on Yahoo and I'm wondering if our days are actually 48 hours long. And he said he is a professional.

    RIP to the Pope.

I'm not Christian but I love the way they elect a new Pope. The people waiting for the smoke is a pretty cool tradition.

Just saw where Curly's (Three Stooges) daughter just passed away at 86. No one really knew her but it got me thinking about how much Curly made me laugh with his physical comedy - kind of like Kramer. Remembered this song and video from the 80's I think. If you're a Curly fan, check it out. :lolol:

Phil Robertson has passed away, the QB that Terry Bradshaw couldn't beat out at La. Tech. Robertson became famous for his duck calls, Duck Dynasty, and being a follower of Jesus Christ.

I still enjoy episodes of M.A.S.H. to this day. Rest in peace, Major Hot Lips.
When I was a young kid I lived with my grandparents for a while. One of the many, many things I love about that time was watching M.A.S.H. with them. Watching episodes today reminds me of being that kid in my grandparent's living room, laughing at the dry wit and quick one-liners. Hot Lips was the straight in that show. She would set it up, and the rest of the cast would knock those punch lines out of the park.

The restaurant /bar I worked at late 80's had a few offbeat traditions. One of them was the entire staff would watch Cheers together at the bar tv. This was before all the big sports bars with 500 tvs and streaming service. Just one tv at the bar, that was it. Staff members would come in even if it was their day off to watch Cheers there at the bar. I think I remember it came on Thursday night. I think this experience is why I don't like the reruns so much. Such a different atmosphere from the first watching experience and now, watching alone. Rest in peace, Norm.

/edit I remembered Hot Lips was a Major, not a Captain.

Very cool idea watching Cheers in a bar. I would have never thought to watch a sitcom like that. I remember when Ellen came out on her show the gay bars in Philly were 5 deep at the bar.

When I lived in Memphis I worked at a campus bar and local comics hung out there quite a bit. When touring comics came through they would bring them in sometimes. I never got to meet Ellen but they all mentioned that she was gay. Not in some condescending way, more like it's too bad she's gay. The people I met that knew her or had at least met her said she was really cool and fun to hang out with. I guess the people that worked for her disagreed somewhat.

I did get to meet Brian Regan. He may be the most naturally funny person I have ever met. It's also been about 30-35 years ago.

The watching Cheers at the bar thing was a thing there before I even started working there. I think it really enhanced the experience. So much so for me that I can't watch the reruns because it's definitely not the same without the 'gang'.
