Broderick was considered raw but possessed Franchise Caliber Left Tackle Potential. That said, having so little snaps, doubly so as a Top 15 Offensive Lineman, was quite the undertaking for any team that drafted him. Even Tomlin alluded to the fact after drafting him; a "Diaper Dandy" is what Tomlin described Broderick.

Talent and potential were never his problem. His lack of experience and overall technique was.

If we win a playoff game its because of Jones and Fautenu

Then it clearly falls on Tomlin and his coaches if Jones fails...

The great Bill Parcells once said: "You lose with potential, you win with performance"

Pat Meyer is now officially under a microscope. Either step it up with how you teach or get lost. No excuses.

Broderick didn't really play both sides in college. He played one drive at RT in his whole time at Georgia (this was as a Freshman in 2020). He was a LT. Now, he's played primarily RT in the pros.... but LT has been considered his "natural" position, even as a pro.

As for Moore, it appears that his guy got 16 sacks across the season, but he was credited "at fault" for 12 of them. PFF agrees with this, as they consider him at 12 sacks allowed, which was the worst for qualifying tackles. It would be different if this was just a blip on the radar. Moore has been among the worst tackles in the league in sacks allowed nearly every year he's played. He's simply just not a quality tackle when it comes to pass protection. Hard to make too many excuses for him. Even if the QB drifts into trouble more often than average, he still just gets beat often.

Funny How You people quote PFF when it suits you, and make fun of it when it doesn't.
PFF was the same exact place that said Garrett was better than Watt many times.
PFF , and here is my favorite....LoL.....was the same place that said T. Edmunds was better at safety than Fitzpatrick.
Also B. Jones played in 8 games as a RT in college.
Also I like how you skipped that many places had him as a better fit at RT than LT in the NFL.
Don't get me wrong, I want Him to succeed at LT.

Arguably the single most important player to the team this year outside of QB.

Here is the number 1 thing that will get me if He doesn't do good at LT.....people will say it was because He played at RT for awhile, and it ruined him.......instead of thinking......Now I see why they played him at RT.
Man I hope He's good at LT, or we are really in trouble

I asked the 2026 NFL Draft about this. That class would agree.

It doesn't prove that because there are other factors at play. It could be evidence that Jones was hampered by the injury he suffered in preseason last year. It could be evidence that he need to lose weight. Jones came to OTA's considerably thinner than what he was last season. Also, he has one more year of experience in the NFL. That could be helping him, too.

I don't have a subscription. I was just looking online at recent articles talking about BroJo making the move to LT and losing the 20LBs, and such. It let me just walk right in.
