Where was everyone else's game face when getting selected? It’s not like I am stating some far fetched observation there :lolol:

Of course they can, I said as much in this thread but he’s the one that had the unusal reaction, it’s a reach to say I am reaching.

you did not say he had an usual reaction. you said he looked bummed to be taken by the steelers.

    big difference.

feel free to edit what you said and/or admit you are on an island all on your own of trying to put Kaleb down.

FFS stop being so sensitive. Looking bummed would be an unusual reaction

Any reaction other than jubilant would be unusual.

Maybe this guy can be a real FB, and they can get rid of Connor Heyward.

Keep in mind that Harmon is 6'5" and weighs 315, that shows how huge Black is.

This has been my concern with Johnson. The speed of the game at this level is much faster than college, is he going to have that same success running in an outside zone here as he did at Ohio State?

He and Warren ran the same 40, Warren is even a tick faster so why is Johnson deemed a good outside zone guy but Smith is claiming they couldnt run his scheme last year.

What I’m hoping from Johnson is that he has better vision and better burst than Harris did.

I share some natural concern with how he'll fare at this level. Part of that is inherent with any rookie making the transition, part the after-effects of Harris leveling out as average, and part due to some of the holes he ran through last year at Iowa versus what this o-line has managed.

Obviously, a line opening holes is going to help any back (and vice-versa). On Johnson's all-touches tape his long-gainers stand out, but I don't remember seeing a large amount where I felt he did something extraordinary that made the run. He's got good vision and the speed is good for his size, which is part of what makes him dangerous once he hits a hole. But I didn't see a lot where I felt he created the play.

And while he did post good yards after contact per attempt (4.4), a concerning 21.3% of his runs went for zero or negative gains. When you see his blockers get blown up he was often in trouble - he doesn't show good lateral agility to suddenly bounce east/west.

Ultimately, I think he has better vision and burst than Harris, but shares the same limited lateral agility, and in the film I saw at least, I'd say Harris runs a bit angrier.
