Yeah, I like his approach this year, working out as soon as the season ended, showing up at these camps even know he doesn't have to, rallying the troops, all good things. Some guys take longer to mature, longer for the light bulb to go on, I also think Mrs Roethlisberger is having a very good impact on Ben, hows the saying go, behind every good man is a better woman? :lolol:

It's not like he hasn't done anything good while he's been here :lolol:

When he was helping us win SB's we didn't need him to be a leader, there were plenty of others, now we need him.

I love Ben to death, but it would have helped for him to be more leadery like two seasons ago (Roughly, or sometime near that.) when we were all like "ERR, THEY LOST ALL THE FIRE'S THAT MAKES THEM PLAY GOOD." (Maybe that was just me.)

I'm glad this is happening, but to me it seems like a better late than never type of thing.

When Tommy Maddox went down during the second game of young Ben Roethlisbergers career he became a leader for the 15-1 Steelers. During the SB drive thru the playoffs for Bettis' last season he was a true leader. During the final drive of the Holmes catch in the SB he was pin point perfect in the most critical of game moments. He has always been a leader.

Ben has always led with his play but that's not the type of leadership we are talking about.

I agree (because you were waiting for that, I'm sure)! I think it has taken Ben longer to mature than others. He has been a fun BOY to watch over the years, now, I'm excited to see how he will play as a MAN!

Ben has lost his magic the last three years, For all steeler nation I hope he recovers it.
I am not so sure though, just too many hits that have added up over the years.
Leadership, I don't know, we can hope can't we?

It's called injuries. Think about it, the last 2 seasons Ben has finished the season very banged up. The season prior to that we were in the SB and driving for a go ahead score until Mendy fumbled. Ben hasn't lost anything, it's just imperative he gets through the season healthy.

at mid season last year they were talking about ben for MVP... is that losing his magic? although the last half of the season when he did play he didnt get the job done when he had the ball at the end fo the game and a chance to win.. he threw a pick in that situation a few times.. reminded meof carson palmer with the bengals in the fourth quarter..

maybe him being married (and having a kid) is the reason why he's rushing to work where he has (relative) peace and quiet? ;)

He should be a leader he's the oldest starter on offense and he has been a team captain.
