I think Tomlin knows this

Reminds me of an old boss I had and his misuse of the word "satisfaction." Somehow, he would turn it into the word "satisfication". As in; "We need to work on our customer satisfication process this year."......(even spell check is forcing me to correct it in this post).

 

I had an old IT boss years ago who was not great with words. Some people intentionally mispronounce things to be goofy, but this guy was just not able to say things properly, and it was definitely not intentional with him.

He couldn't pronounce "digital," and instead always said "digical."

And one time he, very seriously, told me, "when our first son was born, my wife was having trouble going into labor and the doctor had to seduce her."

 

I had a maintenance guy who would tell me he was working in the Libalary at the high school

I always thought if you were in a library there is probably a book there that could teach you how to pronounce it

 

When a biology teacher of mine in high school would have to get control of us when we got rowdy; he would say that he was 'FURRIOS' with us. The 'FURRIOSER' he got, the more I couldn't stop laughing. Boy did I get into so much trouble that year.

There was a truth to that, but it leaves out so much more. It is far worse now, one stupid rumor on X or other media becomes a torrent of 'info' from the seemingly dozens of 'insiders' that cover a team. I do not knowingly open them, but because of algorithms I get FB and YT things all the time, some have catchy 'official' sounding names and they go from outright lies to just a scene that you mentioned.

 

All Steeler Fans are special , disagree we will not have a winning season with Mason at q.b. but Tomlin is imho satisfied with being better than average when greatness should be the standard.
