Maybe the Steelers were waiting to sign Rogers before trading Pickens. Probably not, but we don't have the kind of WR room that a QB looking for one last good year would get excited about. Doesn't seem that long ago when these guys were on the team together:

    2010
    Hines Ward
    Mike Wallace
    Antonio Brown
    Emmanuel Sanders
    Antwaan Randal El

I haven't watched the clip yet, but look, if Rodgers' desire to be a Steeler resides upon what time they play on Sundays, he isn't interested in being a Steeler.

You forgot to mention JUJU, who had more receiving yards in his first three years than Goerge Pickens.

Would Rodgers pivot to the Saints? Would think aside from the weather, the Steelers would be the more attractive team to play for.

I wouldn't think so. They've got a few weapons on offense, but Cooks and Kamara are getting up there. Can't remember much about their defense one way or the other.

But I would think they'd want to see what they had in Shough, even more so than us with Howard given his draft stock and age.

Andrew Fillipponi is reporting Rogers has joined Nevillewood Golf Club, outside of Pittsburgh.

    TSL, September 2010-
We just lost our #1 receiver (Santonio Holmes), and Tomlin did nothing to replace him..
Our #1 is 34 years old and on the downward slide.
Randel El is a retread we just got back from Washington, where he did nothing.
Our #2 is a one-trick pony who runs fast, and has 50 receptions to his name.
Sanders is a short slot receiver we wasted a 3rd round pick on.
We wasted a sixth round pick on a head case when we could have drafted a developmental O-line.

    We're doomed.

Another rumor floating around on the youtube is Rodgers bought a house in the Pittsburgh area.

What do you know Fillipponi lied again

“This rumor is NOT true,” declared Nevillewood President Wayne Chiurazzi

I saw that too and didnt even bother relaying it here. If it’s from Poni don’t believe it, all that guy does is engagement farming and as it turns out, it was false.

a hell of a lot had to go right for that to work. People who rely on outliers are fooling themselves.

I am to the point I would much rather pass on Rodgers. Signing him for a year will be nothing more than committing to more mediocrity for the next few years. After coming back from his Achilles injury, he didn't necessarily light it up with the Jets. As much as many are against Mason being the starter, I would rather go with him and see what he can do. If he doesn't do it, then so be it. It is not tanking for a number 1 pick, but hey we were 6-10 the year prior to drafting Roethlisberger. I believe Mason is good enough to win games as was Maddox back in 2003.

Did Aaron Rodgers leak his Steelers decision by joining a Pittsburgh golf club?

Jake Haener, Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough. That's the Saints QB room, at least ours isn't the worst in the league now.

But if Rodgers thinks in the back of his mind that his arm isn't what it was, this would be perfect place for him. Being in Pittsburgh would be like playing in Jets backyard, almost, but playing for the Saints, sometimes they only play a couple of games a year outside......This is why I also think some stats shouldn't be considered the same. Big difference in throwing the ball in zero wind, rain, and cold, and throwing the ball in one, or all 3 of the previous mention types of weather.
