It’s not about talent, it’s about them self destructing. AB was still better than Pickens and his numbers dropped way off.

I dont know if Pickens will follow suit but I think you will be the only one to be surprised if the whole situation implodes.

And are coach and GM make big money to get the best 53 players! They are doing a horrible job! If they knew they were getting rid of Pickens? Why not draft a receiver? This team makes no sense! I'm usually excited for the new year. Zero excitement this year! Like I said before maybe 7-10 if we're lucky!!!!!!

From what I have been seeing, it’s sounds as if the Steelers were ready to go into the season with Pickens after not being able to move him during the draft. Then last week Dallas reached out again with an 3rd rd offer and after having internal discussions, they decided it was best to move on which was spearheaded by Tomlin.

That last part is the biggest key because Tomlin would know best if Pickens couldnt be managed anymore. If hes giving up on him, could be a real interesting year for the Cowboys.

I think there is more to this

Omar said he wanted to extend him and there is no reason not to believe this other than conspiracy theorists

Georgie has stated he does want an extension but wants to play out his contract and this is a smart move

Once there was no chance to extend him the next best option was to trade him and get the third

Well, he obviously wouldn't want to state that he didn't want to extend him, if that were the case, as he would lose leverage in negotiations.

Not saying that was the case - I wasn't privy to what was going on backstage at the time.
