    Thats right we all work hard and do our thing making Pittsburgh work
    But......

    Lately its Make A donation! Every intersection every pothole, everything

    everywhere... gimmee gimmee gimme here in Pittsburgh.

    No lie went to Taco Bell on MCNIGHT and was ASKED if I would like to

    Round up? Round up what> My total. Its $11.20, are you asking for a round up

    under the demarcation point of 50 cents, YUP! FOR WHAT? I **** YOU NOT

    The United College Fund. Ok yeah right lol, The new drive thru tip jar folks.

    If a YINZER couldn't be squeezed more. That was it for me....

    Anyone else on the take lately, fellas?

    Like to hear it, if not so I can avoid it!

    This has been going on for years. Convenience chains, fast food chains, you name it.

    In short, what they're really saying is, "Would you like to round off your bill so we can make a donation in our own name and use it as a tax write off?"

    No thank you. I donate on my own.

    In my defense, the 20something girl with the purple hair was quite helpful, and very cheerful. Put me in a good mood, and I might feel more generous than usual. ;) (Or maybe I was just surprised because my old man self half expected by her appearance to be aloof, or condescending. Turns out, that's Gen X goth. Not that younger generation)

    But normally, my rule is "If I'm ordering while standing at a counter, no tip." Tipping is for service. Not just ringing up my bill.

    Yeah, but she had to grab the jar, ask you to open it because the lid was too tight, pull product, weigh product, bag product, ring the bill and ask you to do the math on the correct change. Come on Ray. ROUND UP:smiley1:. Hair color ain't cheap

    Nah. The jar (more like a box) was already on the counter. And she knew what she was talking about. When you're an old fart who doesn't know jack about this subject, it's good to have someone who can help you find the strain / hardware that will work for you. The previous time, I had some slack jawed dude bro who's answer to everything was "I don't know."
