Well, the Steelers don't feel the same since they gave Metcalf a long term deal and traded Pickens .

Since when do you believe anything a reporter says?

You dont need articles, you watch the same team I do. You saw him quit on plays and fail to block for Warren on what would have been an easy TD, because he “didn’t want to get hurt.”

You saw him run lazy routes or not even attempt to run routes numerous times.

You saw him jawing with fans numerous times.

The reports you won’t believe even if I posted them:
Late to meetings, sometimes not show up at all.
    Late to practice
    Late to games
Players asked to babysit him so he doesnt get into it with fans.

Metcalf: Fiery competitor, thats what he says he wont change about his play. Im sure the penalties will piss us fans off, it’s not remotely the same.

Pickens: disrupts everything on and off the field, i.e.locker room cancer.

I still would have put up with Pickens for one more season but I get why they took the draft capital and got something for him while they could.

"Searches probably every single article about every single incident Metcalf has had" , that are opinion pieces, and makes a determination based off random articles that are opinions. Even if their are more opinions that think Metcalf is not a cancer, it's still just opinion. So it's subjective, like I said. I never said it's "more" subjective or "greatly". I said it's subjective. Again with the reading comprehension.

"Not an expert", so stop trying to assume a position of better understanding and stay in your lane maybe?

    Interesting

But personally I prefer to think for myself

But I admire you for knowing your limitations and staying in your lane

I don't think Blast Furnace is going to appreciate your constructive criticism of him.

I dont need AI to tell me hes not a cancer, I just like using it to watch you make your own facts people spaz out trying to dismiss it.

The post you're responding to is literally me making a joke. As in humor or to make fun of this conversation and how it started.

    Literally

I think I've articulated my points of view, and how I came to those conclusions, fairly well. I don't recall the "spaz" moments or anything that would resemble that. You've claimed I made up my own facts multiple times now, to which I referred to Mashburns multiple examples as well as my own witness of Metcalf's poor behaviors. None of those are "made up". Those are what I base my opinion to disagree with you about the potential of Metcalf to melt down. Which is still an unknown by the way.
You've also never once provided any data in this thread to dispute my opinion, outside of the AI debacle.
Dk Metcalf has 9 unsportsmanlike, taunting, unnecessary roughness penalties as of 2023 and an ejection. Pickens has how many again?

Mine was humor, yours was a failed attempt.

    Successful humor.

    Work on your act, rookie.

I do not think the steelers care. I think they got rid of Pickens due to he could not get depth separation and had to rely winning the toss up and that Pickens said he wanted a trade (just like Metcalf did). but go figure y'all want to think it was about him being a head case.
if Pickens was so much a head case why not do it last year when he could have been worth more?
why not do it literally right before the draft this year so we could have got a replacement?
better yet, why draft the kid?
to me the writing was on the walls that Pickens wanted out and the coach granted it.

we have had problems with players issues before. sure you remember ben incidents right? steelers literally told ben before his bike accident that riding without a helmet could hurt his contract. and then the accident happens, and they did nothing. only these boards cared to wanting a trade to happen, specially with the later stuff happened...... so yeah, steelers do not care if someone is a head case.

for recrod this is what you are referring to.
    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...redit-blame-for-trade/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

the only thing said publicly before his trade was when we played the chiefs after pickens was coming off his injuries and that he showed up 95 minutes early, instead of the 2 hours early that Tomlin prefers the players to do...... so how does one incident get so many riled up for hating on him multiple seasons?

So you think there won't be any complaining from these boards and no one calls metcalf a headcase or cancer? the way you been talking this guy just does normal penalties.

I know how I will be responding when metcalf does an illegal block, fumbles for being an idiot, throwing a tantrum on the field. which will be telling people just like I did with pickens, it was end of game, we were blowing it anyhow, etc.

    Interesting back and forth here.

If the Steelers wanted Pickens, he would have gotten the extension. Conversely, if Metcalf was such a headache, then the Steelers wouldn't have traded then extended him. Again though, the issue shouldn't be about Pickens being traded from the collective view of fans.

How well the Offensive Line performs should be the focus. That unit, for whatever reason, continues to get lost in the shuffle in all of this. Whether or not Aaron Rodgers arrives in Pittsburgh doesn't matter if the Line cannot block worth a damn; specifically Broderick Jones.

To Jones' credit though, Tomlin isn't new to personnel malpractice when it comes to Offensive Lineman.
