Kinda syncs with the rise of social media. Something Cowher and Noll didn't have to deal with.

"Hey Cowher, I'm gonna unfriend you if you don't give me the ball more"

All teams have to deal with social media, but the Steelers have been the team in the nfl with the most problems with the behavior of the wide receiver in the last 15 years at least and this is not close

Just to look at the tweet in the first post of this page and I could add Santonio Holmes in this list...What teams are worse that us for the behavior at this position in the Tomlin era?

LOL.. Well if you are going to say something like that, I will add my smart-ass remark of "Obviously you never seen him play."

Watching George play on the field there was no doubt he was a top WR in Skill alone. You need more than just the Stat Line to judge talent. Don't let anyone try to tell you George does not have top WR talent.

I remember watching the QB School videos on youtube, and the 1st thing the guy would do is circle #14. That is the only Steelers WR that the commentator cared about because of his talent.

    Talent yes

    Production not so much

    Two different things

    Production earns contracts

Again, I didn't say they had been perfect. Last year, my thinking was Khan was glued to getting Aiyuk as a 2nd, but potential replacement for the incumbent, who had already been showing signs of unrest.

IMO, your comparison to the Commanders isn't on the level. Different situations right now. But they're obviously building to next year's draft. So when you spoke earlier of "giving up resources", what do you call not signing more FA's this year in order to maximize the comp pick formula and position themselves to be in best position to potentially draft their QB?

Granted, I didn't approve of them going to the degree they did (i.e., not signing anybody outside of released/depth players), but I disagree that they're not operating under a plan.

    Lastly, who's Peters?

So you can't provide that evidence. Got it.

So you can't provide that evidence either. I'm asking people to back up their claims, which is a reasonable thing to do. You are responding with personal attacks, which is a disrespectful thing to do.

Not meaning nothing personal. As for proof of evidence, no I personally wasn’t there, but turn on any sports outlet and they can and have been dishing out evidence.
Also, did you watch games where Pickens:
Refused to block, claiming he didn’t want to get hurt
Lackadaisical running routes when his number wasn’t called
Fighting with opposing players and fans
Had to be babysat on sidelines by teammates
Now you don’t have to believe me but trust your eyes
With this being said, I’m done with this topic. I wish GP the best. Also, I apologize for getting personal.:drinks:

I honestly would like to hear more on this stuff. I doubt we will, but I would like to just because this would upset me if true.

Majority of Pickens other drama, never bothered me and I felt it was blown way out by the media.

Mash thinks he had a mic drop moment because Pickens said some positive words about his new team. I mean that would have been AB record meltdown to make a stir in his first presser but hey, people need to try and get their wins in however they can.

We’ll see who is the headache for their new team, Pickens or Matcalf. Pickens by a country mile. It’s about as sure of a thing as TJ being the one that posted his Instagram pic.

    No worries.
Adam Peters is the GM at Washington.
I only use them as I know that organization inside out.
One could point to GM's in KC, Buffalo, crappy Dallas, Philly, SF....

We can slow walk a lot of things. Maybe that's ok.
I think a few GM's would moved some players, acquired picks... been a little more active.
While I think Omar and company are weak, they are not horrible. I've seen far worse, ie: Vinnie Cerrato was probably the worst GM ever..

No matter how you slice it, our personnel moves are mediocre with occasional good sprinkled in. About what one would expect with mid-tier management.
Many blame the coach, which maybe true, but someone allowed that.

2026 is promising on paper. That would be the time to show off some skills. I can wait.
