2025 NHL Playoffs

With Penguins out of it I doubt many follow but have to tell of game 7 between Winnipeg Jets and STL. Blues. If I'm a Blues fan I didn't sleep last night.

3-1 Blues with 2 minutes to go. Jet pull their goalie. Jets get a lucky bounce and make it 3-2. 1.6 seconds left in game and Jets tie it up. Jets won in 2nd OT.

OT in Playoffs is tough to stay up for. I remember in 2000 PENS/Flyers went to 5 OT's. Longest game in NHL I think. 7 frigging hours. Sister and I kept calling each other to see if we were still up. 2-1 Flyers won and I did not sleep that night.

Guess I'm pulling for the Oilers. Rooting against the Caps.

Winnipeg @ Dallas. (like when the Dallas fans yell "Stars" when it's said in our National Anthem) Think wins: Stars / Hope wins: Jets

Las Vegas @ Edmonton. Think Oilers win and I hope so.

East:

Toronto @ Florida. Think wins: Panthers / Hope wins: Maple Leafs (I always root for them ever since I saw one of their fans take a hard shot to the mouth by a Flyer fan)

Washington @ Carolina. Think Caps but hope like hell it's the Hurricanes.

I'd love an all Canadian Cup. It's more their sport anyway.

 

All Canada, which would you prefer between Oilers or Jets?

 

After last night I became a Jets fan. I was just getting up to go to bed. Had remote in my hand and Jets made it a 1 goal game. I stood the last 2 minutes and was all set to switch it off and they frigging tied it with 1 second left. Nodded the whole first OT. Was lucky to wake up for game winner.

TBH I want Edmonton. I liked Conner McDavid first time I watched him and want him to hoist the Cup.

Edmonton/Toronto Final would be sweet for me.

 

I like that too. Leafs have had a drought. Oilers are just really good. I thought they would win it last year.

 

Good game last night. Panthers tried to come back but Maple Leafs held on to take a 1-0 lead in series.

Draft lottery was last night. Islanders won. Penguins get 11th pick. I still remember the year we got lucky and got to draft Sidney Crosby. 3 Cups later......
