It's about him stepping up as a leader of the team but the best part of the article is when he said starting Monday the entire oline is going to start working out together to build team chemistry. Pouncey did jump all over Gilbert for being out of shape so our oline should at least be in great shape when they show up for camp. If it lives up to its potential then I don't care who we have at wr and rb we are going to be good.

This is why I have been saying that if Warmack or Cooper are available when we pick, I think you have to take them, our line will go from very good to freaking amazing and that just makes everything else much easier. Imagine our running game when there are actual lanes created for our backs or imagine the damage Ben can do if he's not running for his life every snap. I guess it would depend on who else is available but I would have a hard time passing on either of those two guys if they are there when we pick.

I don't care what anybody says the oline is the heart and soul of an offense. FWP wouldn't have made it one season running behind the lines we have had recently. I can only think is a few backs that's the oline didn't matter and emitt smith isn't one of them.

i still can't help but think they might be looking at some type of combo O-linemen.

jones has slid and may even be there in the 4th. jones has the center ability to go across the board.

they looked at winters too. has played left tackle but may be better suited to guard, but in a pinch has the ability to step in at LT or RT or either guard. both give you good players able to start near anywhere. even thornton and pugh have that ability.

considering our depth chart right now, and how many we dress on gameday, these types seem like no brainers at some point. just food for thought.

Do you think Legs will be back, I always liked his versatility, maybe Jones could fill that role.

I think it depends on the draft bit right now I have to say no. If somebody goes down he will be the new Essex and the first person the Steelers call.

they want someone that can possibly start at guard better then legs. when they had to kick pouncey out there last year i think that was the end for him. if they can get the right guy i'd say no.

I agree if we keep Ben upright and our line opens running lanes we have a good chance to win consistently. The skilled players would be nice but I think it all starts with your line and franchise QB

:lolol: Tomlin_Era grew on me but I took it out of sheer frustration because on the old board every name under the sun was taken but I liked the hiring of Tomlin so TE was born. I always wanted a more Steeler related name though, this conveys our history and pride, our record there in the 70's was staggering, teams dreaded playing there.

The Steel Hurtin is what I started calling the 08 defense when Clark and Harrison and co were just destroying people. I don't play with any other team then the Steelers on madden so I went with it there and it really had just stuck with me the 2188 were the only two numbers I ever wore in my 12 years if football.

If the season started today he would be on the team. He is the only other center other than Pouncey. You don't start the season with one center. Naturally, draft and FA can change this.

I've always liked Pouncey. Glad to hear these things from him.

He'll get his ring sooner or later.
