So why would you draft your future LT in the first round than?
Writing was on the wall Moore was gone?
    Hmmm… that really makes sense.

I remember Jones saying it didn’t matter to him if he was at left or right tackle.

Here is another one for you… lets play Dotson at his unnatural position… how did that work out??
Now an all pro that plays for the Rams
OT: how did you fare with storms yesterday?

Hopefully, going into his 3 year, he settles into his position. I thought he did well last part of his first season.

It may be a longshot but Fernando Mendoza V from Cal who transferred to Indiana this year should be a sleeper for the QB Position. 21 years of age and will be 22 in 2026, great size complimented with a great arm and good mobility. Much like Indiana, Arthur Smith uses RPOs but not to the same degree. There are a lot of Zone based blocking concepts though; an underrated aspect for drafting QBs as understanding blocking assignments is just as important as reading coverages.

Should Mendoza V progress well this season, I wouldn't mind giving him a look in Round One.

Cam didn't take 3 yrs to break out... he had to wait his turn behind Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel ..... can't fault anyone in that position.

Development of Lineman though is a very difficult aspect to achieve; made even more difficult if the young player has a lousy Coach (hint hint). Cam Heyward had one of the greatest ever Defensive Line Coaches since 2000 in John Mitchell. Whomever John Mitchell trained usually ended up being pretty good; the aforementioned Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel. Stephon Tuitt and Javon Hargrave also turned out great under Mitchell's tutelage.

Fast forward to today and the same effect can be seen via Karl Dunbar. Remember that, of the five All Pro's that Cameron Heyward has, four of them are under Dunbar. Among the coaches the Steelers cannot afford to lose, he is at the top. Benton didn't have the season so many of us thought last year but he still produced well enough and Loudermilk has proven to be a reliable depth piece. Leal is a miss though that is due in part to him not having a true position. Logan Lee is an unknown but Dunbar's biggest test to date will be Derrick Harmon.

Regarding the Offensive Line Coach?! Nothing has been the same since Mike Munchak left. Shaun Sarrett clearly didn't work out, Adrian Klemm was a mess and Pat Meyer now appears to be a whiff. For that matter, this issue is magnified as @Steelpens65@Steelpens65 is correct in saying that Tomlin's game of Musical Chairs for both the Offensive Line and Offensive Line Coaches from 2021 to 2023 have been nothing but a disaster. Kendrick Green had zero business playing Center, James Daniels was much better as a Center than he was a Right Guard at Chicago as Daniels was a Center coming out of Iowa and Kevin Dotson was a literal Pro Bowl Guard at Left Guard. Tomlin royally effed that up completely. Now, this isn't to say that Kendrick Green would have been a great Offensive Lineman to begin with but having a player start at a position who only played less than 100 snaps as a Center is nothing short of both Coaching and Developmental Malpractice.

This continued in 2022 when Tomlin attempted to resolve the situation by making a long time Guard in Mason Cole into a Center. That also yielded middling results. The only good signing, coincidentally, was James Daniels that year. However, as previously stated before, Daniels had played Center with Chicago before an injury robbed him in 2020. Things didn't pan out well then either; Pat Meyer's inaugural season no less. 2023 gave us the likes of Isaac Seumalo, Broderick Jones and Spencer Anderson. Spencer didn't have a position and Broderick Jones was as raw as can be though his talent and potential were through the roof. Again though, Tomlin thought of it as a good idea to have a very young Offensive Lineman learn a new position he has not done in live game action. Broderick did okay but it was clear that he wasn't just learning how to play Offensive Tackle in the NFL but also learning a new position all together; another indictment of Tomlin. 2024 though is where things turned south for Meyer as both Spencer Anderson (in the limited playing time he had) and Broderick Jones both regressed under him. Zach Frazier and Mason McCormick were bright spots but given their tremendous amounts of experience leaving College Football, both with over 40 starts, how much teaching did Pat Meyer really have to do?!

Long story short?! Never undersell the importance of Coaching. Talent is only that; talent. For talent to made into performance, a good teacher is needed to maximize that level of talent. Karl Dunbar has done this for years. Pat Meyer hasn't. Broderick Jones himself hasn't been the most consistent but having consistently inconsistent personnel decisions in the way that Tomlin has shown in addition to the porous results that Meyer has given has played just as much of a factor in BroJo's development; arguably more.

Doesn't matter what people said.. I just posted the undeniable reality of his situation .
It was totally asinine for anyone to disparage him for an inability to supplanted those 2 in front of him
