I just noticed that Nick Chubb is a free agent and might sign with the Bears. I'm saddened that he has dropped to this level after that devastating injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers couple of years ago. He was one the best backs in the league prior to the injury. He never averaged below 5yrds per carry before his injury and was a very punishing back. Hated to see him against the Steelers. I would have loved to see him in black and gold, but I guess he's washed up now. Wish he does well in Chicago. That injury destroyed his career and he's 30 this year. That hit by Fitzpatrick was hard to watch as his knee bent 90degree in the wrong direction.

That's why running back stock is down. There are plenty available. Last year during the cuts there were like 4 excellent starting RBs available. The RB market is saturated.

Chubb is a throwback, great RB or was before the injury. Still wanted them to take a flyer out on him. Oh well.

Post draft your older free agents start signing for the minimum just to be employed.

Chicago might actually be a good destination for him. They added a seventh rounder in the draft (Monangai) and have Swift and Roschon Johnson in their running back room. I wouldn't be shocked if Chubb rose to the top of the pecking order (especially for early-down work) if he has anything left.

Chubb just reaching the deadly age of 30. Healthy I'd love having Chubb now. We had "The Bus"* at 30 and took him 3 years to get the ring. Healthy Chubb for 3 years would be sweet.

*That fumble against the Colts will never be forgotten. I felt terrible for him on the sideline. Group I was with was feeling no pain and were screaming for Bus to take us home. 22 people had their mouths hanging open on that run back. From waiting for cops to show up for noise violation to dead silence. First word out of every mouth, F--

I hate it for him. As well other RB. they're so easy to replace and throw away.

We just drafted a RB and have three as part of the rotation, we don't need Chubb .
