They have talent but their o-line coach is way below average....

As has been said multiple times already, we need an o-line coach..
Outside of that, our OT depth is atrocious...
We absolutely need to stay healthy

if anderson can get back to form he could be pretty solid as a backup. cook played well last year in preseason. he struggled with that foot injury most of last year during the season. i don't think they are atrocious. anderson suffered through two near death experiences. he's back healthy now.

I disagree hard here. The average height for an NFL tackle is just under 6'5''. That makes Jones about 1/2'' taller than average while Fautanu is about 1'' shorter. Jones is definitely not a guard. Not at all. You can make a case that Fautanu is (he was considered a first round talent at all positions on the line coming out of college), but we haven't seen him play. Just because a tackle is a shade small, doesn't mean he's a guard. Also there were only 30 OL that appeared on a 53 man roster last year that were 6'7'' or taller. Most of those guys are tackles but certainly not all of them are starters... If half of them are starters (not sure on the details), that would meant that less than a quarter of starting tackles are 6'7'' or taller. Those guys break the mold, but are not the norm.

Jones is a tackle, whether or not he ends up being a good one is still up for debate, but he is a true tackle. Fautanu, I think is, but only time will tell there as well (hope he stays healthy). The line depth is a bit suspect at the moment, but the starters look to be in pretty good order. Bunch of young guys that we're hoping develop and gel together.

G depth looks more than fine. McCollum seems good enough as a C back up.... but yeah, I wouldn't rule out us picking up another OT for swing duties.

We can take a shot at a younger guy that struggled a bit like Jedrick Wills, or we can go with more of a vet. Tyron Smith might want another contract, Noteboom is an option, there's always Chuks too lol any of those would be decent options IMO.

Cook was intriguing in the 2023 preseason. If Anderson gets meaningful snaps, our QB is toast.

Anderson had some upside while in New england. I don't know if he can get back to that but if he does we may be ok. Watched cook every snap he played last preseason and he looked good on both sides. We shall see.
