Was kind of entertaining. It'd be really cool but some of it's "rankings" are way off. In on draft I traded down and was able to get guys like Wreh-Wilson and Corey Lemonier in rounds 5-6 (after taking Deandre Hopkins, Jonathan Cyprien, and Arthur Brown in the first and 2 seconds).

I played it but the rankings and trades are seriously ridiculous.

Through a variety of trades, this is what I was able to come up with. The only position I was truly disappointed in was CB. They flew off the board like hotcakes. I would have also like to add a body or 2 to our Dline, but, cest la vie.:

Round 1 Pick 23 (MINN): Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina (A)
Round 2 Pick 16: Matt Elam, SS, Florida (A)
Round 2 Pick 25 (HOU): Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford (A)
Round 3 Pick 17: Johnathan Franklin, RB, UCLA (A)
Round 3 Pick 27 (HOU): Corey Lemonier, DE/OLB, Auburn (C+)
Round 3 Pick 32 (BALT): Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M (C+)
Round 4 Pick 6 (ARI): Brandon Jenkins, OLB, Florida State (B)
Round 4 Pick 18: Kevin Reddick, ILB, North Carolina (A)
Round 4 Pick 32 (BALT): David Quessenberry, OT, San Jose State (B+)
Round 5 Pick 17: Sanders Commings, CB, Georgia (A)
Round 6 Pick 18: JJ Wilcox, SS, Georgia Southern (A)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Rontez Miles, FS, California (PA) (A)
Round 7 Pick 17: Ryan Griffin, QB, Tulane (D-)

The trades that were offered were absurd. Every offer was way more than the value chart. For that reason, I decided to pass on trade offers and just pick in our position. I only spent about 15 minutes zipping through it, so my picks weren't all that well thought out. Below is what I came up with. I have to admit, almost every round my targeted guys went within 5 picks before my pick, but there were still easy pickings available as I doubt that any of the guys that I selected in rounds 1 - 5 will actually be there when we pick. It's good for idle fun, but the rankings seem way off. It would be better if they programmed in something like Rob Rang's big board (CBS/nfldraftscout) to get more up to date rankings. Oh.... I'm guessing they don't like Qanterus Smith!

Round 1 Pick 17: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma (A)
Round 2 Pick 16: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson (A-)
    Round 3 Pick 17: Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut (A-)
Round 4 Pick 18: Chase Thomas, OLB, Stanford (C-)
Round 5 Pick 17: Shawn Williams, SS, Georgia (A-)
Round 6 Pick 18: A.J. Klein, ILB, Iowa State (A)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas (C)
Round 7 Pick 17: Quanterus Smith, DE, Western Kentucky (F)

I was bored...so did one without trades....

Round 1 Pick 17: Kenny Vaccaro, FS, Texas (A)
Round 2 Pick 16: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame (A)
Round 3 Pick 17: Corey Lemonier, DE, Auburn (C)
Round 4 Pick 18: Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia (C+)
Round 5 Pick 17: Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas (D-)
Round 6 Pick 18: Matt Scott, QB, Arizona (B-)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Duke Williams, SS, Nevada (C-)
Round 7 Pick 17: Jake Stoneburner, TE, Ohio State (A)

Now one when I did a lot of (unrealistic) trades...

Round 1 Pick 29 (N.E.): DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson (B-)
Round 2 Pick 16: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International (A)
Round 2 Pick 25 (HOU): Arthur Brown, OLB, Kansas State (A)
    Round 2 Pick 27 (N.E.): Barrett Jones, C, Alabama (A-)
Round 3 Pick 17: Brandon Jenkins, OLB, Florida State (C+)
Round 3 Pick 21 (MINN): Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina (C+)
    Round 3 Pick 31 (S.F.): Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut (A)
Round 4 Pick 18: D.J. Swearinger, FS, South Carolina (A-)
Round 4 Pick 29 (T.B.): EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State (A)
Round 4 Pick 30 (ATL): Dion Sims, TE, Michigan State (B)
Round 4 Pick 31 (S.F.): Kenjon Barner, RB, Oregon (C+)
Round 5 Pick 17: Kwame Geathers, DT, Georgia (A)
Round 5 Pick 27 (HOU): Joe Kruger, DE, Utah (D-)
Round 5 Pick 30 (ATL): Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma (B)
Round 6 Pick 18: Micah Hyde, CB, Iowa (A)
    Round 6 Pick 28 (T.B.): Ryan Allen, P, Louisiana Tech (C-)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Caleb Sturgis, K, Florida (A)
Round 7 Pick 17: Jeff Nady, OT, Nevada (C+)

Not the greatest...but yeah...and for sure this thing isn't perfect...especially trades...to move up 3 spots a team gave up a 2nd rounder (in addition to a 1st)...and hell in this one I'm doing now...SF traded up with DET giving up their 1st, 2nd and 1st next year to draft RB Lacy 5th overall...haha....oh well its still fun...

GP Guy. In that "best available" situation I take Lane Johnson without a second thought. It's rare that you get a chance to draft a true blind side pass protecting left tackle who can handle speed rushers all day. He has a bit of work to do to be a top tier run blocker, but he's improving rapidly and is already a really good pass protecting left tackle. He has 2014 pro bowler written all over him.

Here was mine (with no trades). Had a tough decision at 17 between Lane Jonhson, Jonathan Cooper, Kenny Vacarro, and Tavon Austin.

Round 1 Pick 17: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma (A)
Round 2 Pick 16: Arthur Brown, OLB, Kansas State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 17: Christine Michael, RB, Texas A&M (B)
Round 4 Pick 18: D.J. Swearinger, FS, South Carolina (A-)
Round 5 Pick 17: EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State (A)
Round 6 Pick 18: Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State (C)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Jake Stoneburner, TE, Ohio State (A)
Round 7 Pick 17: Michael Mauti, OLB, Penn State (F)

Here is one with trades (like someone else mentioned the offers are way too good to move down).
Round 1 Pick 31 (S.F.): DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson (B)
Round 2 Pick 2 (S.F.): Matt Elam, SS, Florida (A)
Round 2 Pick 27 (N.E.): Johnathan Franklin, RB, UCLA (B+)
Round 3 Pick 5 (PHI): Margus Hunt, DE, Southern Methodist (A)
Round 3 Pick 17: Jon Bostic, ILB, Florida (A)
Round 4 Pick 6 (ARI): Barrett Jones, C, Alabama (A)
Round 4 Pick 10 (TENN): EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State (B+)
Round 4 Pick 18: Tyrann Mathieu, CB, LSU (A)
Round 5 Pick 17: Reid Fragel, OT, Ohio State (A-)
Round 6 Pick 18: Kwame Geathers, DT, Georgia (A)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Ray Ray Armstrong, SS, Miami (Fla.) (D+)
Round 7 Pick 17: Maalik Bomar, OLB, Cincinnati (C+)

By this reasoning, you would have to take Eric Fisher wouldn't you? He is a legitimate Top 5 player and future pro bowler at LT, IMO.

GP - Was that really your best available at #17? Looks like you had a rotten simulation. I was very surprised how well mine played out. 1. Joeckel, 2. Geno Smith, 3. Floyd, 4. Jordan, 5. Fisher.... The only oddball one was Mingo in the Top 10, which I guess could theoretically happen. To answer your question, OT Eric Fisher for sure.

Wow, this was kind of rediculous. I kept trading and trading. While I'm not the draft expert of some I don't think I did all that bad. And with that many picks I can afford to have a few misses.

As a funny asside, my simulation had Mingo going #1 overall.

    Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 17 (NYG): Bacarri Rambo, FS, Georgia (C+)
    Round 2 Pick 23 (G.B.): A.J. Klein, ILB, Iowa State (C)
Round 2 Pick 26 (DEN): Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State (B)
Round 2 Pick 28 (ATL): Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International (A)
Round 3 Pick 8 (TENN): Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut (B+)
Round 3 Pick 18 (DAL): Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State (B-)
Round 3 Pick 30 (ATL): Menelik Watson, OT, Florida State (B+)
    Round 3 Pick 31 (S.F.): Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech (C+)
Round 4 Pick 4 (PHI): Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati (B-)
Round 4 Pick 7 (CLE): Tavarres King, WR, Georgia (D+)
Round 4 Pick 10 (TENN): D.J. Swearinger, FS, South Carolina (B+)
Round 4 Pick 18: Denard Robinson, WR, Michigan (D-)
Round 4 Pick 19 (NYG): Justin Pugh, OG, Syracuse (A-)
Round 4 Pick 27 (HOU): Braden Wilson, FB, Kansas State (D-)
Round 4 Pick 30 (ATL): Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama (A)
Round 5 Pick 7 (ARI): Robert Lester, SS, Alabama (C-)
Round 5 Pick 17: Ray Graham, RB, Pittsburgh (D)
Round 5 Pick 18 (DAL): Nick Kasa, TE, Colorado (B+)
Round 5 Pick 19 (NYG): Kwame Geathers, DT, Georgia (A)
Round 5 Pick 26 (G.B.): Kahlid Wooten, CB, Nevada (B-)
Round 6 Pick 21 (MINN): Zac Dysert, QB, Miami (Ohio) (A)
Round 6 Pick 26 (SEA): Jason Weaver, OT, Southern Mississippi (A)
Round 6 Pick 27 (HOU): Gilbert Pena, DT, Ole Miss (A)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Jeff Locke, P, UCLA (C-)
Round 7 Pick 8 (SEA): Dustin Hopkins, K, Florida State (A)
Round 7 Pick 11 (MIA): Braxston Cave, C, Notre Dame (C-)
Round 7 Pick 17: Gerald Hodges, OLB, Penn State (A)
Round 7 Pick 18 (MIA): Etienne Sabino, OLB, Ohio State (A)
Round 7 Pick 31 (CLE): Herman Lathers, OLB, Tennessee (A)

Oops... didn't notice Fisher was still there. I probably go Fisher, but I didn't watch much film on him other the Sr. Bowl practices, so if I had to make that decision now I would going primarily on analyst assessments... I do really like Johnson though a guy who can handle the most athletic pass rushers. I honestly think that all 3 left tackles will be gone in the top 10.

I shall be Colberts replacement! Hahaha! It got to a point towards the end there I didnt know who some of the guys left were and I had already filled most of the holes...so I was like ok K and P, why not...and then the best OT left with the last one. But definitely on paper a solid draft...and I could have traded even MORE but I was like damn thats a lot already.

Yikes. That is ridiculous indeed. I'm gonna do two, one with as many trades as I can make (except using next year's pick), and one that I'll make realistic, either with no trades or one in the first round, which is what I might want to do anyway.

Yeah this has so many unrealistic trades it's a little rediculous. This was my second draft on it and with the first 4 picks I was pretty happy. After that I didn't recognize a lot of the names on the board.

Round 1 Pick 19 (NYG): Alec Ogletree, OLB, Georgia (A)
    Round 2 Pick 16: Barrett Jones, C, Alabama (B)
Round 2 Pick 17 (NYG): Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina (A)
Round 3 Pick 18 (DAL): Bacarri Rambo, FS, Georgia (A-)
    Round 3 Pick 19 (NYG): B.W. Webb, CB, William & Mary (B)
Round 4 Pick 18: Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego State (B)
Round 5 Pick 17: A.J. Klein, ILB, Iowa State (A)
Round 6 Pick 17 (DAL): Conner Vernon, WR, Duke (A-)
Round 6 Pick 18: Ace Sanders, WR, South Carolina (B+)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Jason Weaver, OT, Southern Mississippi (A)
Round 7 Pick 17: Brandan Bishop, FS, North Carolina State (A)

This is my "realistic" one. Realistic in that I didn't give myself six 2nd round picks and clean up, like I did on my practice run. I did still make two trades down, though, because I thought they weren't totally nuts, and it's what I would have done given the players on the board at the time.

Round 1 Pick 21 (CINN): Ezekiel Ansah, DE, Brigham Young (A)
Round 2 Pick 16: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International (A)
Round 2 Pick 25 (HOU): Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford (A)
Round 3 Pick 17: Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson (A)
Round 3 Pick 27 (HOU): Barrett Jones, C, Alabama (A)
Round 4 Pick 18: Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia (C+)
Round 5 Pick 4 (DET): Kevin Reddick, ILB, North Carolina (A)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State (B-)
Round 7 Pick 17: Duke Williams, SS, Nevada (C)

I would be pretty stoked with this. This simulation sure doesn't think much of Stedman Bailey. I took him in the 3rd in the last one and it gave me a D-.

    And here's my tradetradetrade draft:

    Round 2 Pick 2 (S.F.): Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame (A-)
Round 2 Pick 15 (DAL): Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International (A)
Round 2 Pick 18 (CHI): Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina (A)
Round 2 Pick 29 (S.F.): Markus Wheaton, WR, Oregon State (B-)
Round 3 Pick 8 (TENN): Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 16 (STL): Barrett Jones, C, Alabama (A)
Round 3 Pick 17: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State (A)
Round 4 Pick 10 (TENN): Brandon Jenkins, OLB, Florida State (B+)
Round 4 Pick 17 (DAL): Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia (C+)
Round 4 Pick 18: Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati (B+)
Round 5 Pick 17: Kevin Reddick, ILB, North Carolina (A)
Round 6 Pick 18: Chase Thomas, OLB, Stanford (A)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas (C)
Round 7 Pick 17: Duke Williams, SS, Nevada (C)

Love this one too, obviously. Which do you guys like better?

Here's a helpful hint - If anyone wants to simulate a draft with the inclusion of the Pats' 3rd rounder for Sanders, just offer your 2014 1st rounder for the Pats 3rd rounder when they are on the clock. I'm sure it hurts you're score, but if you don't care about that it's a great way to simulate the outcome.
