Regular Season and Postseason Practices. During the regular season, padded practices for all players shall be limited to a total of fourteen, eleven of which must be held during the first eleven weeks of the regular season, and three of which must be held during the remaining six weeks of the regular season.

Fourteen padded practices over a 17 week schedule. That is in the CBA. How is an OL with rookies and injuries supposed to gel into a productive unit?

Didn’t we trade a guy to the Rams and he turned into one of the best guards in the nfl? It’s been more than two years with our oline coach. Jones struggling is a big tell.

it's the same for everybody. the steelers were the team that voted against the contract. with the games and PO's that is 32 in pads days. you also don't want more injuries. the body is only going to take so much.

not all players work out. the o-line coach can only do so much for a player. he can't play for him and make him smarter. as for the guard spot, we had the best tandum in the league at one point in daniels and seumalo. no one expected a season ending injury to one and a nagging injury to the other. age also catches up at some point. especially injuries.

Yep, I get that. I'm more just about last season. Moore has the LT spot but has at least 2 different guys playing beside him at LG. When you don't get the weekly live fire it makes a difference. The rookie Frazier not only played as a rookie, but had another rookie at RG and the same issue at LG as Moore. And that RG rookie was playing next to a rookie OC and a struggling BroJo. The whole thing was a mess and the only way to fix a mess like that is with reps. You counted 32 days but if you're learning comes on game days you're in trouble. Right now I blame our OL woes on time spent together. I don't know how many snaps is the right number. I do know the current CBA makes it tougher to build a young OL. You have to be very precise in your draft analysis.

i will say they should learn a lot on game day. that is when they are seeing these different looks and talking about them in real time and then watching the film on them. the coaches also find problems with players against certain things that they need to work on. they know the guys on the team better and what to expect. opposition brings different things to the table.

Then list it as an opinion. Or if someone wanted to be really accurate in their rankings they would divulge how they came up with the rankings. These were the criteria used etc. not just some Willy nilly crap

Why no love for Andy Reid? Every time I watch a Kansas City game, I always see Reid with the big Playchart calling the plays; he sure looks like he is running the offense to me.
