Nolan Ryan Stats on PTI last week.

OK. I saw this on PTI today, but is it true? Coming from Wilbon.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, we all know the Nolan Ryan holds the record for most strikeouts, but did you know that Nolan Ryan also holds the record for most No Hitters?

OK, but Wilbon went on to say.
Noland Ryan holds the record for most 1 hit games.
And, then said Nolan Ryan also holds the record for most 2 hit games.
And then also added that Nolan Ryan also holds the record for most 3 hits games!!!

Before I start repeating this to every baseball fan I know: Is this true???

I remember him well. And I'd say it is true. He was fun to watch. Guy seemed to be in MLB forever.

Try to follow along. A one hit game is different than games with “no more than 2 hits” Ryan is tied with Bob feller for 1 hit games at 12.

Aren't they both tied for 1st at 12? Does anyone have more 1 hit games than Nolan Ryan? No. Correct.


I think it would be correct to say that Nolan Ryan has the most 1 hit games, if nobody has more than him. In other words, if nobody has more than you, then you have the most.

 

Yeah exactly why I said he is tied with Feller and posted the link. OP asked about 1,2,3 hit games. Which of course is different than 2 or less.

 

This is beginning to sound like a discussion of theoretical physics! Like lining up a mars mission.
