Who do you think the Steelers should try to pickup post draft in free agency?

I know alot of it depends on who we draft and what additional players may be cut.

I predict we will pick up JK Dobbins and Mike Hilton post draft. They won’t count against draft compensation next year so its a smart move. Hilton could be a mentor to Bishop and whoever else we draft if we do for that position. I think Dobbins would be perfect for outside zone in a rotational role to complement Warren and Gainewell.

Yeah I can see Hilton coming back.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a trade for a QB getting pushed out by a new draftee if Dart isn’t taken

I really hope we don’t waste a pick on Dart. To me it feels like Pickett all over again.

My #1 target is Dobbins. I also wouldn’t mind Kendall Fuller as a nickel. He has had success in that type of role. I know it won’t happen because we signed Echols, who is so-so at best.

i think hilton is on his way to the downfall part of his career. it has started to go that way. i see a sutton projection.

beanie played pretty well for an UDFA rookie. let the kid find his way. he should be better year two.

thornhill should help. elliott is solid. slay and echols won't be overwhelmed out there. trice, watts if they can stay healthy. minkah possibly can refind his form. i actually kind of like our secondary right now.

Unless one of the bigger name backs fall to the 4th rd I’m hoping they just sign Chubbs.

    Asante Samuel for secondary help

Keenan Allen for leadership in the WR room and a great mentor for Pickens.

There are a lot of names to choose from though, Khan and make up some ground for the sluggish start he has had this free agency.

there are some still out there to choose from. probably waiting to see how the draft falls to us before any commitment is reached. you are only going to keep so many at each position.

I think they should only sign Dobbins if they don't draft a RB, because they aren't going to carry four RBs on the 53. Fuller is made of glass.

Chubbs is washed, and Samuel isn't a good tackler we just had that in Donte Jackson.

I want to see what Echols can do at CB before turning to Hilton, he's on the wrong side of 30 and not good in coverage.

It took Pickett 6 years to have a really good season at the age of 24. Dart has put together 3 good seasons and is still only 21 years old.

    1. I am fine not drafting a RB given all of our other needs. My bigger concern by not drafting a RB is someone else who doesn’t draft a RB getting him first. 2. Fuller played full seasons in ‘21 and ‘22, and missed 2 games in ‘23. It’s a minor concern, but it’s why he’s available likely at a very low price. He’s a good player.

NO FA QBs after the draft?

NFL free agent QBs: Another former Pro Bowler besides Aaron Rodgers remains available among signal-callers - CBSSports.com

My shocker on this list was Ryan Tannehill. Because I thought he retired last year. Multiple reports are saying the Vikings are talking to Tannehill about making a comeback for 2025.

If Tannehill is open to coming back this year after taking last year off to fully recover from his Ankle Injury, should Pittsburgh and Arthur Smith throw their hat in the ring?

Does it really matter, the coaching staff won't let Dart or another young QB play and not be afraid to make mistakes.

I can't see them passing on a RB, this draft is too deep and they brought 9 guys in for a visit.

If at the start of training camp the QB room is Mason, Skylar and a rookie. I would definitely bring in Tannehill as the starter.

As long as it’s not in the 1st round, and as long as it’s not a guy who has ball security issues, I’m good with it.

At this point Tannehill wouldn't start over Mason.

I would take that bet on Tannehill, because unlike Mason, he has had years of experience in running Arthur Smith's offense.

Would be a good battle in camp, to see if Mason can come back from his disastrous 2024 season where he had 5 starts and threw 9 Ints.

Tannehill is 36 and hasn't played in a few years, I'm not concerned with Mason stats with the Titans there is a reason they have the number one pick in the draft.

Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson are not NFL level starting QBs. This is why we will draft one.

Tannehill is a surprise, I saw him on the list but thought he was pending retirement.

Our QB situation at moment, should be a big concern.
This might be a better year to catch up the Curling Championships.

One of the main reasons was Rudolph's poor play at QB.
