I was watching some old steeler games on youtube and saw how good Levon Bell was for the Steelers. If he had stayed in Pittsburgh for his entire career (injury free), I think he would be in the HOF. He was fun to watch and can do it all. It's incredible how much better he was relative to Najee Harris. I would have made him the highest paid RB to keep him. I hope we find another Levon Bell in this year draft. I think we got Bell in the 3rd round.

Actually, second. Turned into a great all-purpose back, shame how it ended.

Something tells me Bell knew he was over his prime when negotiating infamous holdout year.

I admire his talents while he was here. They aren't common and come out every year.

The Rap Giant rapped about wanting 17. The Steelers brass didn't like the tune...

Sort of AB had 9 years before mentally melting down

LB had 5 years before destroying his career

Your ego is not your amigo. Both were phenomenal talents in their prime..

I think AB has CTE. I actually go easy on him anymore. It's a physical sport and he played to the top of his abilities. Mr. Big Chest lol

I always felt like Antonio Brown had a hand in influencing Le'Veon Bell's hold out and contract issues. In addition to that, Bell was asking for far more money than the going rate for running backs at that time. I do believe that running backs are probably the most underpaid position in the NFL for what they bring to a team when they're good. But the going rate is the going rate.

The Steelers absolutely had the talent in place for #7. AB and LB were great.:puking2:I kind of blame Tomlin's coaching habits.

We get another LB with a decent head on his shoulder we'd be so much better.

They should've had more, and been HOF ers and maybe the Steelers would've made a serious run in the playoffs

Steelers wasted a Super Bowl window from 2014-2018. There was some injuries (AB, Bell) that derailed the post season in a few of those playoff runs... losing Shazier on D was devastating. There were some major whiffs in the drafts during that time, too. Still.... Popcorn should have had a better secondary and the OLBs were erratic during that time. Dupree didn't start playing like a 1st rounder until the last 2 years of contract. Haden and Fitzpatrick, awesome players....but were too little, too late acquisitions. The window was closed at that point. Lots of things to point fingers at.... but it's a tragedy that Roethlisberger didn't get close to the Super Bowl again after losing XLV. Yeah, Steelers reached the AFC Championship in '16.... but that game was over at halftime.

He was good but don’t forget he had a good offensive line in front of him, he had a dynamic passing attack to prevent them from loading the box as well. He would have been great in the wide zone with his vision and cutting ability.

Bell thought he was Superman and would change the RB contract validity and pave the way for how all RBs should be paid in the future. He was a giant talent behind a very good Oline. If his head was any bigger it wouldn’t fit in the locker room. Problem is he was dealing with an agent that kept pumping his ego. Then he got fat and lazy. Held out for a season and ended up on a crappy Jets team with very little talent all around him, and he took less money to do it. The guy went from possibly on his way to Canton to a rudderless ship with no sail and now he will fade to almighty mediocrity. There is a song out there called “Nobody to blame but me” and that should be his anthem.

My mom was AB’s biggest fan early in his career. She was about 80’s years old and loved his work ethic. Then he brought the helicopter to opening day of practice. I think everything changed that day.
