How many people are going to be shocked when Aaron Rodgers signs with the Vikings?

How many people are going to be shocked when the Steelers pick up Kirk Cousins 4 year $180 million contract only to be replaced by Mason Rudolph at the bye week?

Is there any way the Steelers Front Office can spin picking up Deshaun Watson after he is released by Cleveland??? I am pretty sure it would be a league minimum deal like Russ's was. Funny, Watson is 12 years younger than Rodgers.

Im thinking Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers have a wink/nod in place that after the draft Rodgers will sign the contract. This way they don't lose out on all the compensatory picks next year by signing Rodgers to a meaningless contract before the draft. Why else would Rodgers been in CA playing pitch and catch with our new star receiver DK Metcalf. This also keeps teams wondering what the Steelers are going to do in the draft because they are usually very transparent when it comes to which position group and player they are targeting. However, they already showed their hand early in the process when Tomlin/Khan and crew were watching the DL very very closely.

I also think they are looking at this year's QBs as someone to draft and have sit behind Rodgers for the year and learn. Their plan is more than likely to go DT 1st round, unless they don't like what is left at #21, they can then pivot and draft the future QB sooner (Shaduer Sanders/Jaxson Dart). If they do pick a DT (Grant, Harmon, Nolen), then they can go with a high upside but raw QB like Jalen Milroe in the 3rd.

Next time be more clear with your question.
Rodgers is not a FA that affects the compensatory formula. He was released from his contract by the NYJ, thus a 'street free agent'. Him signing with any team doesn't affect their comps.

Cleveland is not going to cut Watson and take a $167M cap hit this year. ..... on second thought, they are the Browns! They took it on the chin for signing Watson, so why not take in from behind on his exit?
