Watt posting a peace sign as in peace out gents. A talent at that level gets leaked information.
Steelers are asking around, the question is, is this, ok? He got game planned in the playoffs as
Ravens went Inside and Outside of him---he did Nothing!

The reality is this, it's no longer a Defensive game its ALL O!

Watch us. keep George and deal Watt. Thats correct.

Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Hurts, Jackson, and Herbert.

MY QUESTION TO YOU IS A 2 PARTER. WHAT DO WE GET FOR WATT AND WHAT DO WE DO FROM THERE.

It's happening fellas and if you qualify as a Steeler Fan then let fly, we want to hear it......the Draft is days away how do you want this to play?

I predict they pay Watt in the end.

I think alot of people overestimate what can be obtained in a trade.

They have the cap flexibility to keep both, it’s not and either / or situation with Watt and Pickens

I don’t know what TJ wants, probably something like what MG has. With the way the cap is ballooning that’s not really going to be a huge issue.

Trading him away is fine in theory but they had better hit big with whatever picks theyd get back.

Watt is a fan favorite and is good for business. I appreciate his efforts and many times is a game wreaker.

But he also disappears. Also seems to get nicked up at the most crucial times. And playoffs he is a dud.

He will want more dough then Garrett per year. Again the stupid clowns with another bloated contract with a ton of guaranteed money. Personally if they sign him I would give him a 3 year deal not 4. Or let him play it out and let the chips fall where they may. Could always franchise him. If he goes elsewhere there will be a comp pick coming.

I wouldn't be surprised if they traded Pickens. If not this will be his last season in Black & Gold.

All very much valid, and in other threads I for one never advocated trading him (and doubtful they will), the larger thought for me is extending a guy who is 31 to guaranteed money, while historically those deals rarely favor a team. I heard one radio broadcaster state TJ is highly underpaid. really? How many p/o games have we won with him on the team? Understanding he is one of 53, and that statement alone is ridicules, but it still is as fair as comparing the market value of those who have never won a SB or conference championship game, yet a guy who has won several and been in how many strait championship games is making far less. TJ's gonna get paid, and the market determines the value, but at 31 you have to take that value into consideration. if they got a call from the Lions, and the picks were there, even overvalued, you would be foolish not to look at long term structure for the team, not saying you do it, but we seem to be one step behind in replacement thinking, while teams in yearly competitive models are not afraid to move on from their stars.

I think it is a farce post. And Old Guy dressed up like a new guy. Posting under a new login, or maybe a Browns fan having a jest.

As far as his idea that defense doesn't matter, I guess he missed the Super Bowl where the Eagles front 4 dominated the Chiefs offense and Patrick Mahomes..

On different Fox sports radio shows (and I assume other media) they talked about this, just speculation to fan flames. Just the continuing cycle of what was once good media becoming nothing more than TMZ trash talk.

Damn man you covered that old guy/new guy pretty well in this post, you the old guy treating Brice like you were a new guy, lmao. OK, just joking, some mild pre draft period humor.

If they get a ridiculous offer and TJ wants to go then I don’t have any difficulty with trading him away personally but I don’t think anybody is going to make that kind of offer.

In recent years he has been our one true superstar and at times has been the most valuable (non QB) player in the entire league. If the team isn’t going to pay him who should they pay? Free agency is becoming a lot thinner as the cap keeps going up and teams just aren’t letting their good players get away.

I don’t have any major worries about TJ declining. He takes good care of himself and is fiercely committed. Yes he has missed a few games here and there in recent seasons but so have most of the other top pass rushers in the league, and most of TJ’s injuries were acute stuff like sprains sustained during games rather than the type of injury that might reoccur. It’s just part of the game at that position.

I’ll take TJ over the cap space and a few draft picks any day. Just my own thoughts on it.

    I blame the Browns.

Clearly playing the long game by offering silly sized contracts then watching players on every other team get pissed because they won’t match it.

Using this argument, what team is going to trade for him? Watt is ONLY a defensive player and therefore not worth a draft pick. Hell, even the Browns wouldn't use up a 7th round pick for JUST a defensive player.

Every letter in this post identifies as green.

Ive said this before that its not something I'd want to do but would be ok with considering the crazy contract that DE Garrett and Crosby just signed for and TJ wanting something similar. The Steelers shouldn't tie that much up in a 31yo DE, with injury history, when we dont have a franchise QB and are ready to compete. If we were to trade him, maybe to a team like the Patriots who could afford his contract, we could swap 1st round picks and grab their 2nd rounder in the process.
