    had a great pro day
is oline still an option in the 1st round?
    imagine Cooper and DeCastro
some are saying he is better than Womack and both are better than DeCastro.
we'd have two guards who can pull and plow
Cooper is fit to run the hurry up because of Fedora

throw The Fabulous GIO (2ND RD)behind this line and WATCH OUT!!

I would not be surprised to the Steelers go after a guy like Cooper. He may be exactly what they are looking for. Back to back Round 1 Guards though? I just think that is a longshot, especially with other more pressing needs. I've see enough of Warmack's tape to know he is the real deal. Cooper - I am not as sure about.

He'd be a plug and play guy, and fits our new scheme perfectly. I just saw something that said UNC backs averaged like 2.5 more ypc when running behind him.

However, I think he's a luxury pick, so if some of the top guys are gone that are also a position of need (Jarvis Jones, Kenny Vacarro, Cordarelle Patterson, etc) then I'd have no issues with taking him at 17.

cooper and ansah are my 1st 2 choices in rd. 1, but barring a trade up, I think they're gone by pick 17

I think the Steelers are going after Cooper. He's a plug and play guy, plays all three interior positions very well and fits our move to a zone blocking scheme. Also take notice Legs isn't being re-signed. Legs played very well in the SB at center. He also played well last at center when they moved Pouncey to LG. Legs is a NFL caliber center, but that's all he is. With him gone we have no quality center back-up. I also am not sold on foster being mobile enough to play LG in our new up coming scheme.

Grab Cooper in the 1st and JJ Wilcox in the 4th and laugh all the way to the bank. I have a feeling they will have to grab him in the 3rd, but those two guys would be a perfect fit for the Steelers.

It's an intriguing option, we have more pressing needs but can you imagine our line if we draft him? That may be to tantalizing to pass up if he's there.

Not really. We did have the #1 D last year. we loose James but Worilds outplayed him anyways. We lost Lewis but Allen almost beat him for starter last year and he'll step right in this year. we lost Hampton but Mclendon will step right in as he is ready. all we really need on D is back-up and developmental players for some starters.

On O we loss Wallace, Miller ( may or may not return to form or by start of season) two OL and a starting RB.

Cooper would replace colon and legs. He'd help our running game and protect an aging Ben.

my problem is most of the guys you are talking about that are going to become new starters are only signed for 1 year. worilds, mclendon and as far as worilds outplaying JH, i'm not so sure of that.

if we are looking for starters in 2014, they better be here this year to get a year under their belts.

we don't know if we will have sanders this year, but he's only signed for a year.

ike could very well be a cap casualty in 2014, so someone will have to be here to take over that spot then.

clark is only signed for 1 more year and we don't have any idea how many games we will get from troy. someone good enough to come in and play needs to be drafted in case.

if worilds and mclendon have good seasons we may not be able to keep them. we won't have anymore money to spend next year either.

we still need to replace foote.

ziggy after next year too. keisels last also.

we have to prepare for some new starters at several positions this year for next. new players don't walk in here and start in one year.

i think they are pretty high on beachum and he may get his shot to start. i'll bet he learns the C. spot too. the kids a brain.

i fully expect DD to move to the left though.

i'm expecting them to go after a multi position guy with some tackle background, preferably LT that can play G. guys like thornton, pugh, winters, jones. more bang for the buck with our already young tackle bunch.

at some point we will have to sign pouncey too, if he doesn't go to play with his brother. they are from down there.

jones would be a fine insurance policy as part of this unit.

who's to say though , this year is such a toss up. we have holes, even on that #1 defense.;)

I'd love to have Cooper. I've been high on him for some time now.

Honestly, I don't think there's a more pressing need for the team than to improve its running game.

I think Cooper could help in that area.
