With the first pick of the 3rd round of the TSF mock draft, the Los Angeles Rams select:

Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA

The Rams use their acquired 65th overall pick to bolster the middle of their defense. Needing LBs that can both stop the run and cover space in their zone passing sets, they get a good fit here. Schwesinger went from walk-on to first-team All American, leading the FBS with 90 solo tackles last year. He shows an impressive feel for the field, able to quickly decipher plays and evade would-be blockers while bee-lining to the ball.

He plays with physicality, but at 6'2"/230 will need to add some mass in the weight room. But his coverage abilities, urgency, and standout play on special teams should get him on the field quickly for LA.

Mason Taylor TE LSU

The Bears were going to take Tyler Warren in Rd 1, but they now get their TE on day two.

Mason Taylor has great bloodlines, both his Dad Jason Taylor and uncle Zach Thomas are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Taylor is a dangerous receiver who rewrote the record books at LSU, becoming the first tight end in school history with over 100 receptions and 1000 yds. At 6'5" 251 lbs he is both sure-handed and a quality blocker who could either play next to or supplant incumbent Bears TE Cole Kmet.

With the 9th pick of the 3rd rd 73rd overall, the NY Jets come to the podium seething with anger after the bears snatched our target right in front of us, quickly rebound to select:

With the 11th pick of the third round and 75th overall, the San Francisco 49ers select:

Kaleb Johnson RB Iowa

With both Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell gone and CMC and Isaac Guerendo coming off injury, the 49ers can use some depth at the RB position.

Johnson (6-1, 225) was one of the best running backs in college football in 2024, averaging 6.4 yards per carry for 1,537 yards with 21 touchdowns.

With the 12th pick of the third round and 76th overall, the Dallas Cowboys select:

Demetrius Knight II ILB South Carolina

The Cowboys have a big need at the ILB position and met with Knight at his South Carolina pro day.

Knight had a strong week of practice at the Senior Bowl and is a classic downhill MIKE linebacker with elite straight-line speed, natural blitz timing and is a solid run stopper who had 82 tackles with two sacks in 2024.

With the 18th pick of the third round and 82nd overall, the Seattle Seahawks select:

Quinn Ewers QB Texas

Chad Reuter in his most recent mock draft has the Seahawks trading up in the second round to select Ewers, here in the third round Quinn Ewers is simply too much value to pass up. Yes, the Seahawks signed Sam Darnold in free agency but in case he was a one year wonder and just a product of Kevin O'Connell's system Seattle drafts a young insurance policy they can develop and give time to learn as he won't be needed to start right away. This is a QB driven league, and you can never have enough good ones.

In 2024, Ewers completed 66 percent of his passes for 3,472 yards with 31 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Ewers can make all the throws with his pocket-passing ability as he has a live accurate arm, reads the field well and has a very good football IQ.

“It was a dream come true, obviously,” Helm said last month of his formal interview with the Broncos at the Combine.



Gunnar seemed to be a little slow at the combine (4.84 40), but we later found out why some guys chose not to run.
