Wilson and Fields both got signed in free agency, so I guess some teams wanted them.

If we trade for Jamarcus Russell Jr. then we might as well draft Milroe and run the wishbone. Just make sure there are no more than 3 pass attempts per game.

Here's a thought, draft Milroe and Dillon Gabriel. Line them both up in a wildcat and only let them throw from their strong side!

I only want Milroe to do two things with the football. Run it or pooch kick it on the inevitable 3rd and 19 we will always be in.

Just because someone is a free agent does not mean other teams want them

It means the Steelers wanted them in this case

Acknowledging that we're stuck with the small sample of a singe year to begin with, I think it better to drill down on the first six games of both guys because of the strength of schedule down the home stretch (which I included as well). I think the difference between the two halves of the first 12 games is pretty negligible.

    Fields (4-2)
    66.3% Comp.....1106 yards (184 YPG).....5 TD/1 INT.....7.26 AY/A.....16 sack (2.7/game).....93.9 Rate
    > Rushing: 231 RuYd (4.2 YPC, 38.5 YPG).....5 TD/6 Fum (1 lost)

Team Offense: 124 PF (21/game).....1790 Yd (4.76 YPP, 298 YPC)
Team Defense: 86 PA (14/game)......1765 Yd (5.04 YPP, 294 YPG)

    Wilson (5-1)
    65.8% Comp.....1626 PaYd (271 YPG).....10 TD/3 INT.....9.04 AY/A.....18 Sack (3.0/game).....104.3 Rate
    > Rushing: 27 RuYd (1.4 YPC, 4.5 YPG).....0 TD/2 Fum (2 lost)

Team Offense: 172 PF (29/game)......2338 TotYd (5.69 YPP, 390 YPG)
Team Defense: 138 PA (23/game).....1967 Yd (5.67 YPP, 328 YPG)

    Wilson (1-4)
    61.1% Comp.....856 PaYd (171 YPG).....6 TD/2 INT.....5.95 AY/A.....15 Sack (3.0/gm).....84.7 Rate
    > Rushing: 128 RuYd (5.6 YPC, 25.6/gm), 3 Fum (2 lost)

Team Offense: 84 PF (17/gm).....1167 TotYd (4.43 YPP, 260 YPG)
Team Defense: 123 PA (25/gm)....1822 Yd (5.41 YPP, 364 YPG)

    Thoughts:
    • AY/A represents Adjusted Air Yards per Attempt - how many yards the QB averages per drop back, whether completed or not.
    • Wilson was clearly better for the offense over the first six starts he made
    • The drop-off over the final five games is staggering - regression, adjustments, SOS, and Pickens' injury caught up to Russ
    • Hindsight is 20/20, but after Wilson started struggling and Pickens was lost, Fields may have been the better option because of his legs.
    • End of day, both were backup level guys taking on the lead role - if we could duct tape their respective strengths together we'd have our QB

Sounds like something the bartender used to say whenever Drunk Ed tried to save face going home alone.

Rodgers would be interesting but Rudolph is capable... We've all seen it...

Why are you quoting clickbait nonsense like this? In no way is Richardson worth a first-round pick. He is a bust. Someone team might give him another shot, but not at that price.

And if Fields started the whole season, it would've been a participation trophy too .
