Maybe I'll end up getting to root for ARod, Mason, Skylar, and a rookie all in the same season!!!

I honestly don't think he would be much worse than Rodgers either at this point. Rodgers will be 42 by the end of the year, I believe, and he didn't look very good last year in the games I watched him. After losing Fields, they should have spent the money they are offering Rodgers to shore up other areas of need and rolled with Mason, but most of the good free agents have a home now.

We should have rolled with Fields last year and this year, but Tomlin royally messed up that whole situation.

Go watch his highlights from last season. Most of the 8 minutes were in garbage time when the games were already decided and defenses were in prevent. Rudolph still has trouble with his 'professional accuracy' as Tomlin once said. Having said this, Rudolph is probably good enough for 0.500. Then add in another one or two wins by the defense, and wallah, you have your 10-7 season!

    Mason Rudolph = Mac Jones

Should Mason get us a 10-7 record Tomlin would receive tons of praise for it and they'd probably give him an extension to 2050;)

5 wins last season with all the players and coaches he wanted. Got the head coach fired. I can only hope that would happen here.

He is a washed up nut. Bring him in though and let the drama fly because that's all he brings. Hopefully he does enough mushrooms and they convince him to retire.

And Bags says their is no timeline waiting for his crush. What a surprise! Hey Bags remember when I beat you in the Super Bowl? Good Times...since then you have gone 3-9 in the playoffs! And your hanging on while I do my drug fueled darkness retreats :lolol:

This narrative never made sense. Fields isn't good. He was brought in to be the backup and the starter got healthy. He wasn't doing anything well enough to justify making the switch.

As John Lennon once said: "Love is the answer". Unfortunately, the Packers won't trade him.

I've always believed that Mason was straight out of central casting and looked like the PR teams poster boy for an all-star Quarterback. That being said I have no say in personnel decisions so my yes or no matters not.

I worry much less given the fact that the Browns are one of two NFL Teams to complete a season without a win.

Harbaugh just got a 3 year extension..... gotta keep the rivalry going.... can't let the Ravens one-up the Steelers.

3-1. 3-1. 3-1. 3-1. that's 12-4 with one to go. even if he went 12-5 that ain't too bad. fix the line and add a RB and it's possible.

Remember of those 3 wins, 2 of them were against the Bengals who were missing Burrow and the other one was against the Ravens without Jackson. The 3rd game was against a terrible Seahawks defense that our running game gashed for over 200 yards. Last year in 5 starts he was 1-4 and threw 9 picks.

It was always the smarter move. Instead they rolled with a washed QB that was paid by another team to play for them.

At least they wised up this year and never tried to bring him back. Points for that.

I liked Fields but the offense was averaging only 17 PPG with about 170 yards passing, with Wilson they got to top 15 in scoring and the passing game improved.

I just wonder if Mason Rudolph is going to stick around the NFL long enough to become a coach.

I still think the move to Russ was correct, because we needed to know what Russ still had left in the tank. Because of the idiots on the Conditioning staff that wanted Russ to start his training by pushing a blocking sled, we never got to see what Russ could do in PreSeason. (And it was confirmed that it was the new Strength and Conditioning Coach Phil Matusz came up with the idea to have QBs pushing a sled on the 1st day)

I think the Staff knew exactly what they had in Fields after the first 6 games, so they moved on to Russ to see what they had in him. When Fields was injured they then had no options, but to let Russ play out the season.
