I think one thing to note is that Rogers can throw strikes when it comes to slants or that quick hit to the TE in the middle seam.
That messes with the Pass rushers heads.
That makes the OL a little better.
But your point is spot on, no pass protection and it all goes for naught.

I think Rodgers could be what people were hoping Russ could be. Rodgers was once the best QB in the league, IMO. Russ was never that guy.

The biggest concern for me with Rogers is making it through the season. Our line is really going to have to play to their abilities and stay healthy.

These are the very things that Mike Tomlin doesn’t want his offense to do. Round peg meet square hole.

I think Mason is better playing in spots and that compliments Rogers as I figure there will be times we need Mason.

Rodgers in the 4th quarter, second half of the season, excluding garbage time. Looks pretty much meh.... but noticeably better than Wilson.

Let’s hope that Tomlin trusts ARod’s mental game and waives the no-fly zone.

Hate to say this but I'd have zero hope of a decent season with Mason but with butthole Rodgers I'd think we have a chance at Playoffs.

First happen all the time in sports. Rodgers could be the first QB to win a SB with the team he beat in the SB.;)

i don't think rodgers is the type of QB that you hold back. you didn't spend the money to run the ball. if it happens. they will run but every bit of the field will be used in the passing game. i think he also see's the field better than wilson ever could or would. you unleash the guy. you get everything that's left in that arm.

But Rodgers only won 5 games last year with 3 good receivers and a better offensive line. What makes you think we have a playoff chance.

That’s probably a step too far for Tomlin. If we simply have the entire field available when we do pass it would be a big boost.

If, and it's a big if, Ahole Rodgers puts in his best effort and still has the fire in his belly I think the Steelers will be a better fit then the Jets. Brady had the fire in his belly after age 40. It is rare for sure.

    A couple thoughts...

Mike Tomlin keeps games close. Rodger's in the 4th quarter is an advantage.

Rodgers initiating a meeting with the Steelers and then having a session with DK tells me it's already done. Just waiting on a specific date to make it official.

The Steelers didn't cancel their Michigan pro day trip just to shoot the breeze with Rodgers. There is very real 'want to' to get a deal done with these two.

with the technology of today they should be able to have those sunglasses he wears show him something totally different than what is happening on the field when the offense is out there. maybe TJ and cam playing with puppies or something.

And all along I thought it was Browns where they go to die but then again its not just QBs. Any player that goes to the Browns is going there to die. :roflmao:

I read it as all four quarters, but it's vague.

I see Jameis Winston scored well. The Giants may want to take a page from the Steelers' book and add a second punter to the roster.
