Well, Tomlin, Khan and Arth didn’t take him to dinner to ask him to change positions. I actually think this could happen. I’m really not sure how I’ll react on draft night if we take him in the 1st round. Third round? Eh. Fourth? Maybe… 5th? OK, that’s probably worth the lottery ticket, at least if you go back and watch his 2023 tape.

Looks like all he was focused on was not airmailing a short/intermediate throw. You don't get to stare down your targets coming out of breaks like that on Sundays.

The only way Jalen Milroe even is considered a Round 1 option is if Aaron Rodgers signs sooner rather than later. As much as I would enjoy the Steelers taking the likes of Kenneth Grant or even Derrick Harmon (neither of which I don't believe will be available), Jahdae Barron, Nick Emmanwori, Mykel Williams one of the big three among Wideouts in Emeka, LB III or Matthew Golden are the targets. Safety isn't going to amount to much, Jahdae gives the team a rock solid pairing for some time and Mykel Williams adds to an already devastating pass rush though he is the ultimate luxury pick.

Should the board be the Nightmare Scenario, I wouldn't be shocked by the team picking Milroe. Milroe's comps have been all over; ranging from Jalen Hurts to Justin Fields. Dude is a complete athlete at the position. Problem is, the QB position is a lot more than just athleticism.

Yes, in today's NFL, you do need it more than ever to play QB. However, that isn't the end all be all of the position itself. Milroe is a multi year project and will take time. The biggest question though hasn't been asked:

How much longer does Tom Arth want to be here?! Who's to say that there won't be a better gig somewhere else in 2026?! Why mention Arth?! He was the Pass Game Specialist in 2022 to 2023 for the Los Angeles Chargers. Guess who QBs the Chargers?! A very toolsy yet talented QB in Justin Herbert.

Milroe's got the tools in spades. The talent to play the position?! That is going to require a lot of work.

I seriously doubt this, even from the Steelers. I have zero faith in them, but can't imagine they do something this stupid. Most "experts" don't even have him in their top 5 QB's in this weak draft. Milroe, himself, said teams keep asking him if he would be willing to be a RB. He's probably, at least, a two year project, not a guy you take @21. You guys are panicking. It's preposterous. It's talking heads looking for clicks.

They're looking to win now, why else bring in Rodgers and Metcalf for $80 million a year? They're gonna spend that pick on a guy who can come in and contribute in short order. The choice of Milroe @21, would be the worst decision ever made by anyone, about anything , ever. And I once jumped off of a 70 ft high train trestle for the last beer.

Does anybody have an Ideas how to trade to get our second pick back this year, I have mentioned
some names Minka, GP etc. What other teams need these type of players? It should be FO major
task to recoup this pick. I don't know other teams rosters/needs so. We need a top flight roster
for a young qb in 2026 draft to hit the ground running. Deshon Elliot can handle the safety position along with our new additions.

What tools Ask? Old rusty ones in a tool box thats hard to open? Is it because he can run?

They just got rid of a 1st round gimmick in his 5th year who needs a lot of work.

If they draft this bust in the making in the 1st my frayed dental floss fandom might just break. This would be a travesty and would signal that the front office has little power and are just suggesting who to take. Popcorn unfortunately calls the shots.

Milroe would be a terrible choice in the first round even if Grant and Harmon are gone. If one of them is there and they take Milroe, Khan should be fired on the spot.

    What tools?!

    Elite athletic ability.

    Howitzer of an arm.

    Can make plays off platform.

    Rushing threat.

    Great work ethic.

I am not saying he is elite overall but what he brings to the table would be too difficult for some NFL Teams to ignore. In addition, I also have been on record in saying that he shouldn't be a 1st Round Pick; much less ours.

I am saying that he is worth taking a look at in the fourth. He isn't going to last that long even though I have a 4th Round Grade on him. His overall dynamic athleticism is going to have him selected either in the second or the third.

Just because I wouldn't be surprised doesn't mean I'd be okay with the selection. All I am stating is that what Milroe brings to the table is now what so many NFL Teams want. Throwing the ball now well is a pre requisite.

Dynamic athletic ability?! Thanks to Lamar Jackson's 2019 season, every NFL Team and Scouting Department now places a premium on this; wrong or otherwise. Anthony Richardson is an excellent example; unheard of athletic ability but more raw than freshly cut Ribeye from the butcher.

Even if Richardson fails (I believe he is close), one failure isn't going to stop an NFL Team from drafting such QB Talents. Me and @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace have been saying this since 2020 and the number of athletic QBs keeps increasing; the number of teams willing to take a chance doubly so.

In short?! I'd rather have the Steelers honestly draft Will Howard in Round 3 but I wouldn't be shocked if the Steelers selected Milroe instead.
