Smith has a good shot to make the 53. Not a starter, but decent depth.

When you have an OL coach/OC like ours not
to many FA want to come to Pgh.. Plus the FO mismanagement
Players don't feel Steelers are a good destination.

As I have posted before, one Steelers staffer was asked the difference in ''Turk" (cut) day in the 70's and 80's. He said it the 70's it was hard to determine who to cut, in the 80;s we did not know when to stop. lol

I didn't think that for NFL players. I know for a fact MLB players don't want to come anywhere near Nutbag's Pirates but I thought Steelers still had some respect around the NFL.

The New England Patriots just paid Dan Moore a boat load of money, because they believe they can get more out of him than the Steelers did. The same way the Chargers were able to get Kevin Dotson to become one of the best guards in the league after leaving Pittsburgh.

Right now Pat Meyer is flushing talent down the drain because he cannot coach. The entire NFL knows that Steeler offensive lineman are underperforming because of bad coaching. The fact that Art Rooney is letting Pat Meyer steal another year of development from the young O-Lineman in Pittsburgh is criminal.

    Please FIRE Pat Meyer now!!!

Well.... the Titans are the team that signed Dan Moore, and Dotson went to the Rams, not the Chargers. I guess his point remains even if the facts are twisted.

When Dotson played for us he was a penalty machine. He had some nagging injury. Knee or ankle. He did have a pretty good season when he first left but has since come back down to the level he was here. He's not a bad player, IMO. Just not good enough for all the flack the team takes for him leaving.

i thought moore went to the titans. dotson was fine but the two we had were better, too bad injuries ruined that. seumalo and daniels were a really good tandem at guard. never really got to see the full ability of them on a legit offense. keeping the rush out of the face of any QB and having a pocket to step into means a lot and i think we are going to struggle with that.
