Pickens to the Raiders?

It is highly likely he is looking for that extension. He would want at least what Metcalf got, if not a bit more. I'd be fine giving it to him if he can get through the season without any major problems. He's got some issues regarding how he acts when he loses, but I truly think it comes form a competitive nature than him being a bad person or teammate. He just needs to figure it out. It wouldn't be a bad way to bring a newly drafted QB on board with an offense that features WR's like Pickens and Metcalf. They'd be well lined up to be off the books as soon as it is time to pay the QB.

As for trades, I wouldn't really "listen" to anything that doesn't make sense. We're looking at a 3rd round compensatory if he leaves via FA, so anything in the 3rd round or worse is a non-starter. A second round pick isn't doing much for me unless it is from someone drafting in the top 5-10 of the second round (even then, maybe). It would also mean we would almost HAVE to go WR with that pick or with 21... I'd very much consider Buffalo or Green Bay's first rounder for him though. Both teams are looking for a #1 and he'd do great on a team that wins a lot and values him as their top target. Not sure we're going to get that type of interest for him, so I'm on the "keep him" train.

It seems that he never wanted to be here in the first place. If that’s the case it would be nice to somehow ship him to the CFL.

If he stays it would be in his best interest to excel without incident so he can get a solid contract with another team next season. But his history of incidents says otherwise. The Steelers are not going to pay him and I can see him wanting to go somewhere that he will be featured. Those days are over here.

Trade him and hope to get a 2nd and a pick next season. Or ask for the 6th we lost for Fields.
